Hello All,
You know, I nearly forgot to mention our new monthly selection. Probably because we're going to be discussing February's selection later than previously schedule. This month's selection is an awesome book, The Ecstatic by Victor LaValle. If you've been listening to me, you already know that I love Victor's short story collection, Slapboxing With Jesus. But, The Ecstatic surpassed all of my preconceived notions of his talent. The Ecstatic is a great book! I can't wait to hear what you all have to say about it. For our chat in March, Victor is going to attend. I'm looking forward to that. Go ahead and check it out. *smile* |
