Moonsigns, I've TRIED to watch it. But it just hasn't held my interest. But I've been in/out of it (mostly out) so I might have missed some good parts. |

I've been watching it. So far as far as entertainment value i'd give it an 8.5 or 9.0. |

I'm really enjoying this series. I think Speilberg has done a pretty good job. |

This program has inspired me to one day develop my own project: about the black pioneers who met and intermarried w/ the local NA tribes and developed relations with the chinese railroad workers. Oh yeah, and also, the mail-order brides, bill pickett, "stage coach" mary, and all the parts of history that in 2005 tv execs still want to ignore. And no, I didn't like "into the West". |

To me, ItW is the same old whitewashed and glorified historic epic I've seen a million times before on tv and and the movies. Until they start chroniclizing stories that haven't been portrayed already, I won't be impressed. Spielberg might as well have called this series "Dances with Wolves: the legend continues" . |

roXie, Wouldn't you just LOVE to watch a movie about the West that was fully written, directed and produced by Native Americans? THAT I would watch! |

The way Roxie feels about this Westerns...is how I feel about the casting of "black women" in BLACK FILMS. I get sick of every black film where the men are BLACK and the women are Abstract. As Marita Golden calls it---"The Mulatto Follies". I don't watch a LOT of black films because of that.

After I star in my t.v. movie project "Volcano Woman"---I want to make a film about Queen TinkaTekur II (the mother of the Black Americans) and some kind of mystical black love story that shows black people in their authentic state (think Idris Alba in romance with Lauryn Hill)----talk about revolutionary!. I hate nigger media.

I admit. Idris is the man. In a different world, he'd be king of Hollywood. |
