TOM CRUISE was recently squirted with a Water Gun by a Prank T.V. Interviewer He's now said to be considering pressing charges for being squirted with water. Somebody busted the fuck out of Leonardo DiCaprio's head while he was at a house party. Amazingly, no one loved this much loved star enough to RAT OUT who did it.....and Leonardo has to walk around looking busted for a while. As KOLA BOOF....a much despised figure myself, I sort of feel weary about my upcoming tour of New York City....as there might be more than a few people ready to launch bottles. LOL....but anyway, I was wondering......HOW WOULD BLACK MALE STARS REACT TO THESE TYPES OF SITUATIONS? Does anyone here think that TOM is a punk because he didn't punch the guy in the face---and waited a few days to decide whether or not he'll press police charges? Now, me personally---I think I would have just wiped my face and laughed it off. But then again, I was raised with 5 brothers who were huge HOWARD STERN fans.

Kola, I think many, if not most, Black people, especially men, would react violently in these situations. And probably make things worse for themselves. See convicted/incarcerated/indicted hip-hopper lil Kim, Shine, Cassidy, etc. as PRIME examples of such activities. With the money/power these people, I think the proper thing to do is to try to sue the sons-of-b*+%#es into a permanent state of bankruptcy. Then schedule a beatdown or hit on them about 2 - 4 years after the furor over the incident has died down. The foks who should me most pissed about this is the fan who would NOT hurt/offend celebrity. Because the @$$holes have effectively made it likely that they'll never again have any tangible assess to their favorite stars. After looking at Leo, they may start walking around in bullet(& bottle)proof encasings. PS: Looks like Leo might have to start doing some more supporting, 'character' roles. JEEEEEZ! |

This is going to sound so...bizzare but that picture up above of Leonardo is the very FIRST TIME....the ONLY TIME that I have thought he was handsome. EVER.

And I agree with your point ABM. Reacting violently is NOT the answer. Just hope that no one tries to "hit" or squirt Kola in N.Y. It's like there's this rough, baldheaded Jail Dykke trapped inside me. I really do worry about that.

Kola, Perhaps the bruise makes Leo appear more masculine. Men should look like MEN. And for too long Leo's looked like a slightly butch teenage girl. Hopefully you're never incarcerated. But if you are, that "Jail Dykke" chick sounds like she'd come in HANDY. |

ABM. I'm so grateful you're my friend. You always know what to say. Well, I gotta go to bed. It's 2:30 in the morning out here and I've had no sleep, been busy all day. Getting MUCH BETTER and I guess I was poisoned. They claim that an insect bit me on the path back from the river and that my body didn't process the toxins right. Anyway, I'm starving and after I eat something---I will be knocked out. Goodnight, my friend.

Cruise Clashes With Lauer on 'Today' Show By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Published: June 24, 2005 Filed at 8:06 p.m. ET NEW YORK (AP) -- Tom Cruise criticized NBC ''Today'' show host Matt Lauer on Friday when Lauer mentioned Cruise's earlier criticism of Brooke Shields for taking anti-depressants. Cruise told Lauer he didn't know what he was talking about. ''You don't know the history of psychiatry. I do,'' Cruise said. The interview became more heated when Lauer, who said he knew people who had been helped by the attention-deficit disorder drug Ritalin, asked Cruise about the effects of the drug. ''Matt, Matt, you don't even -- you're glib,'' Cruise responded. ''You don't even know what Ritalin is. If you start talking about chemical imbalance, you have to evaluate and read the research papers on how they came up with these theories, Matt, OK. That's what I've done.'' When asked if he could be with someone at this stage in his life who doesn't have an interest in the Church of Scientology -- girlfriend Katie Holmes has said she's embracing the religion -- Cruise told Lauer: ''Scientology is something that you don't understand. It's like you could be a Christian and be a Scientologist.'' ''It is a religion. Because it's dealing with the spirit. You as a spiritual being. It gives you tools you can use to apply to your life.'' Cruise, 42, and Holmes, 26, went public with their romance in April, smooching and posing for photographers in Rome. They recently became engaged. Many have doubted the romance. The words ''publicity stunt'' have rained down on the couple like an alien invasion as Cruise has been busy promoting his new film, ''War of the Worlds,'' directed by Steven Spielberg, which opens on June 29. ''You know what? There's always cynics. There always has been. There always will be,'' said Cruise, who hasn't been shy about displaying his affection for ''Batman Begins'' actress Holmes. ''I have never worried ... about what other people think and what other people say.'' ''I have to tell you. It's just a great time in my life,'' Cruise said. ''I'm really happy. And, you know, I'm engaged. I'm going to be married. I can't restrain myself.'' The actor, whose marriages to Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman ended in divorce, declined to say what Holmes has brought to his life that wasn't there in the past. ''I don't want to compare things,'' Cruise said. ''It's that thing where you just -- in life when it just happens. ... You meet someone. And it's -- I can't even describe it.''

Kola, Funny. Although I disagree with some of the specifics of what Cruise argues, I'm enjoying his recent behavior for 2 reason: 1) I think it's cool to see rich/famous people step from out behind their delicately manufactured masks. Frankly, I've enjoyed the real capricious, confrontational Tom Cruise MORE than I have maybe his last 10 cinematic characterizations put together. 2) We all are being compelled to use myriad brands/kinds of drugs to allay ALL our problems. And THAT appears to me a formula for physiological, social and ecological DISASTER. So although I might disagree with Cruise's view of drugs utilization on a case-by-case basis, I do appreciate that he's using his fame to elicit some much-needed dialog regarding our overal use(/abuse) of mood-altering drugs. And, perhaps like Cruise, I'm VERY SUSPICIOUS of the benefit/consequence of compelling millions of American CHILDREN (and many adults) to consume Ritalin. |

I agree ABM. But I think that Tom could make a far more compelling argument against Ritalin than just---"You haven't studied it like I have, MAN!" He's hilarious and quite emotional every time you see him. He's quite sensitive and I don't believe the rumors that he's gay. I think his unusual "emotional range" causes people to misunderstand him. He's turning out to be far more interesting than he was in the beginning.

I saw this exchange on "Best Week Ever"--I think TC is in need of some mood stablizing drugs himself, Scientology or no Scientology. Or, at least a chill pill. |

Kola, HAHA! Yeah. Cruise could do a better job of making his point. But I don't think ANYONE (even he himself) is ready to annoit Cruise as the national drug industry polemic. Hopefully the current furor around Cruise will incite other more studied/articulate people to engage the public debate. Rumors of Cruise's alleged homosexuality have never fazed me one bit. I pretty much think MANY, if not MOST, of the guys in Hollywood either are gay or have done gay things to get along in the business. Kinda like guys in prison. <shruggingshoulders> |

I hang around a LOT of gays, to the point where I feel that I have Gay-Dar ....and I don't believe that Tom Cruise is gay OR bisexual, although he IS a very sensitive, emotional "short guy"---and they tend to be stereotyped by people. Eddie Murphy--sure, I'd buy it. Usher--I wouldn't rule it out. But not Tom Cruise or Will Smith or KOBE BRYANT (all of whom people keep whispering about). Also... I think they should create a new term for some men---one that defies sexuality period and is just called "FREAKY", because that's what I think of certain men. They're not gay or bi, they just plain "freaky" and become "INSANE" for a blackout period where they engage in anything---shit, they'd fuck two slices of liver while licking a silicone bag----that's how freaky they are.

Kola, I don't get the gay vibe from Cruise either, though I don't profess to possessing "Gay-Dar". Of course you should "buy it" about Murphy. If I remember correctly a few years back HE got caught attempting to "buy it" from a tranny off the Sunset Strip. Usher and Smith...enh? Kobe. Too dumb to be gay. And I told you I was REALLY drunk that night with the liver. Haha!!! |
