I'm not ashamed of them, but this is history and it's gone. I don't think that when all the Sudanese resided in many countries of the world... when we return and try to rebuilt our country that we will follow the nakedness tradition. But I do ackowledge my past because this is who I am. I know that picture of yours only shows who you are and how people aren't ashamed of nakedness where you come from. Now I may be interested in showing my culture in a different way like telling stories of animals my gramma use to tell me at bedtime, that's just me . Yeah, I'm more comfortable wearing my natural afro. Idk, it just feels like me and nobody else. The perm straightens my hair and that just doesn't go with me. I hate hair period anyway, lol. Nyibol, the DINKA PEOPLE do not wear clothes in their villages. Ask your father. He was EDUCATED and went living in the big cities. You need to learn about your own tribe. When I mentioned history, I didn't mean it in the sense that it was a very long time ago. Yesterday was history.... in that sense. But I am not wrong when I say that when we go back to Africa that we won't be wearing clothing! It's the truth. I'm Christian, I have always been since the village of Africa. I've been going to church since I was a toddler. The songs in English sang in the church are in Dinka. There's a bible translated from English to Dinka and I had this bible and sang these songs. I understand that you're not Christian Kola, but this man is not all that you have said!  ... Jesus Christ has no history of women during his lifetime on earth. He has a history of church and miracles happenning. Now who would walk on water and have food fall from up above. It just all sounds unrealistic.. but when you think about it, it is all true because He was the son God! I don't even have to read the bible just knowing He exists! Kola, you know what I use to say? God destroyed the villages so that we can all become Christians! My opinion is that He got tired of all the non-Christians and believe me He will go after the Islamic nation next. I mean He already is! Look at Iraq and Afghanistan! There will not be just war in the South Sudan, there will be war in North Sudan as well, just watch. Remember, Jesus went to the worst places and He may be doing just the same thing. People in America more than anyone out there know God exists yet the things of the world have caught their eyes and they lust after them. Now God knows that these people know who He is... they just refuse to follow Him. And just like in Revelation, they will say sorry when Jesus returns. But it will be too late! I believe in all of this! America is not a land of opportunity, it is a land of temptation. Now they have to choose on their own because they know where to find Him. I think God is working mysteriously to show what He is by destroying the ones that don't know Him. In the end, my gramma left animist for Christian. She died a Christian and nothing makes me more happier in this world than that! I love Jesus Christ to death. He is God........ I don't care what color He was and I don't want to know. I wish you would stop talking about Him this way. He just means allot to me you know. If there's any real God out there, it is Him. | ||

I don't know Kola. Most of my friends are hispanic presently because I live on the border of Mexico and TX. And this is where I picked up saying DUDE from. I've also picked up some spanish out here, so it's pretty interesting, but am still learning. I can't help it I wasn't taught that Jesus Christ was black or wether white people forced Christianity on us. I take what I feel is spiritually healthy for me and my life. The villagers may walk naked, but have you ever thought that they might need clothing also? Isn't the bible suppose to be right about Adam and Eve? As soon as they ate the fruit they felt shame and put on clothes? Well at least that is what I was taught to believe and it's what I still believe in. As soon as I was at an age to attend school, I moved to Ethiopia, I was 7 and I believe to have lived there till I was 10. I think it was 1989 when Ethiopia was attacked (or all Sudanese were attacked in a refugee camp) and we all had to walk back to the village carrying all our possessions. When we arrived in Sudan, folks in the village were happy to see us, but they also asked us for clothing. Do you really think that these people don't need clothes? And well, I was thinking that they need to calm down because all of that didn't matter to me. I was only happy to be home back with my grandmother. I loved the village and was upset when I had to leave. And then I come back and all the sudden we had to leave. As a kid, it was very sad how everything I valued and loved so much was taken away, just like that.... So we headed to Kenya walking on foot for days, nights and months. Somewhere along the way, my grandmother ended up with my other relatives and I never saw her since then in the early 90s because my family moved on to Nairobi where we lived for 4 years before residing in the US. I had a miserable life in Kenya, I think I've told you that. I can't help I am hated so much, but those white men went to get me and helped me. The white people here were the sweetest to me when I arrived in America, how can I say bad things about them now? They're the ones helping in Darfur and trying to stop genocide, otherwise. Remember, I have lived here 10 years. In Sudan I only lived till 7. I lived the rest of my life in Ethiopia and Kenya where I hated so much.. and I am sick of it all. Honestly, I don't find anything that's God's creation a sin. Sex to me is natural and it is something God created just as he created our bodies which we should be comfortable in. I was never taught to want anything in the world. My thoughts are that enough damaged have been done in my life because of this war in Sudan. You have no idea how much I've gone through, how much I've been hated because of this war and sometimes I wish I had been dead over there. Someday, I might just return and live in the very north so they can kill me if they want to. I'm sick of being thrown around and confused as hell. I'm human and we all learn what we are taught throughout our lifetime; and I don't think I have been taught or learned anything that would mean something to me. But I have got into my mind the ideology that IT DOESN'T MATTER. Damage is already been done. | ||
