I just finished reading a book that is certain to change the way we look at Black literature. The title is STEVEN and it is written by a man from Maryland. It's the story of a Black man that is the victim of domestic violence by his girlfriend, Julie. This book is so good that I actually had to read it a second time to be sure I got everything. Oh my God! I was turned on to the book by a co-worker who found out from somebody else and I'm spreading the word. This author put his whole soul into this book and didn't hold back a single thing. The book is available from the publisher right now and I'm telling you, the 14 dollars I paid was a HUGE bargain and in fact, I think it should cost closer to 20. I'm still shaking. You all need to check this out, for real.
