Damn. My life is so erratic---I'm certain to die from a heart attack!

CHECK THIS:

Thomas comes to take the boys camping this morning and of course I serve up a huge breakfast before they leave---because they won't be down off the mountains until Monday night.

As the boys are gone up to get their bags-----Thomas shocks me by suggesting that "Perhaps we should get married, Naima. You'd make the perfect wife, I've always said that."

NOW "I" was just too shocked and speechless to say ANYTHING----I started crying and walked off----because I hated him in that moment for making it so hard for me to get over him, which has been TORTURE to this point as it is.

But they left up the road now.

I really don't understand him. I guess his YOUNG new girlfriend did something wrong.

_______________

I have a date tonight with my Jewish friend. I'm making a picnic basket so we'll have dinner and conversation on his boat in Laguna.

I know, I know, Crystal....LONG DRIVE....but I decided to give in (like an idiot!!!) after ABM and Anuaki were bragging on their "white goddess" and how we just have to accept that she's in the picture now. YEAH. So now Cirril's going to SNEAK and pick me up a few miles from hurr.

And what's hilarious---a white female neighbor is driving me to the "meeting spot" and then fetching me again after midnight. I can't believe I'm THIS OLD going through all this.

I'm about to pee on myself!

Either I might get married or Thomas is desperate to score some Kola pussy by any means necessary.

I'm SCURRED and having heart palpitations.

Kola,

Kola: "Either I might get married or Thomas is desperate to score some Kola pussy by any means necessary."
ABM: Or both. (Hehe!)

It is kinda bogus of Thomas to cavalierly 'suggest' that you get married. If he wants to (finally) buy the cow, he should make a legitimate offer.

Don't even TRY to blame me and Anuaki for your Hebrew rendezvous. That's YOUR guilty conscious...not MINE.

But seriously. I do hope you enjoy yourself. Life's too short and you're too young not to enjoy it.

PS: I'm beginning to think you're in dire need of a case of Depends.

No, ABM...it truly IS because of you and Anuaki that I'm going out tonight with Cirril. That's FACT, because I agreed out of anger/rage in a moment of weakness. Before that--he couldn't even get me to talk on the phone longer than 5 minutes.

Now honest and truly----I don't expect you to care. I really don't and I knew you didn't when I announced it.

Kola,

Were it never within your inclination to date dude, you would have not taken his calls.

Still. ENJOY yourself.

Seriously. I hope he's an interesting date and a perfect gentleman. :-)

Even though I do believe that adult human beings are totally responsible for their actions, I do hereby ask KOLA to forgive me for the WORDS I may have used to "push" her to dating a white man (jewish). I do not want to be tried in the court of our ancestors.
"We, your ancestors, find you Ananuki guilty of pushing our beloved KOLA MAA (Kola Mother)to dating a white jewish man by using words without thinking them over or without being sensitive to what you write ."

Anunaki, I'm curious about your name.

I'm Nilotic, so I don't recognize your name unless----is it from the Nilotic Jieng group?

I don't think it's a Bantu language name.

Could it be Asiatic?

Please explain.

Kola,

Funny. But I thought the origin of Anunaki3600 was hip-hop. Kinda like the name of one of the rapping duo Outkast's "Andre3000".

The name "Anunaki" comes from ancient sumeria. Best is to type "anunaki" on google search and you will get the best meaning. In the ancient sumerian language it means "those who came from the heavens to earth" Anunaki's were the ancient gods who came from the planet nibiru that appears between jupiter and mars every 3600 years thus "Anunaki3600". In ancient sumeria, their story of creation states that we homo sapien sapien (adam) were created through genetic engineering by mixing the genes of ape woman and the Anunaki (God made man in his own image). Long story but interesting to read. A lot of this has been found out through the translation of ancient cuniform text being done by Prof. Zacharia Sitchin who teaches at NYU. Check it out if you have time to read about the anunakies.

Thanks for that Anunaki, it's very interesting and reminds me of a segment in Alice Walker's novel "The Temple of My Familiar".

______________

UPDATE:

Thomas and the boys came down off the mountain from camping last night.

Thomas spent the night here.

Not with me, of course--but I let him sleep downstairs. He and the boys camped out in the dining room with a big tent and all.

He kissed me "deeply" last night as I was giving him some blankets, a toothbrush and toothpaste. I had to force him to go back downstairs, but before doing so, I asked him POINT BLANK about his new girlfriend.

He said, "She couldn't cut it. You've got me spoiled, Naima."

Huhm.

Sounds like a GREAT thing to say to me---but somehow I'm not buying it.

This morning---I didn't see him as he left.

He grabbed a shower and got in his car and took off at around 7 (I heard the gate being opened).

You would think I'd be happy to have yet another shot at being with the man I worship and adore.....but all I feel is anxiety and sick to my stomach.

ABM:Chill. The prodigal dog may indeed find his way back home.

Babygirl: But why should she want him to? I can understand what Kola is feeling. Love is blind. It's also deaf, dumb, and insanely stupid.

A man walks out on his family to test whether the grass is actually greener in someone else's yard and suddenly his woman should just sit back and wait to see whether or not he's interested in coming back to mow her lawn? That new neighborhood wasn't growing the right bushes, the flowers weren't smelling nearly as pretty as he had it at home, so she should just forgive, forget, and welcome him back with open arms?

I say go get yourself a new gardener, Kola. You deserve MUCH better. Let that "prodigal dog" put his tail between his legs and go sniff some place else. You don't need a pet. You need a real man. He might have been "good" once, but there's not that much good around to sacrifice your self respect for.

GOD.

I hate to say it, but I agree with Babygirl.

I feel so much ANGER at Thomas.

Please note---he's the ONLY MAN I've ever loved, I spent 8 years catering to him, spoiling him, adoring him and was HAPPY doing it.

But now, after 9 months on my own, I just feel so angry and disillusioned by him.

He blamed his leaving on my career, but I think that was just an excuse to go fuck young girls in the apartment over his business in L.A.

And I resent that I'm so poor that I have to live on this ranch (HIS house, HIS property) and that I have to count on him for money----although, he's a wonderful man to support us without even being asked.

I miss having sex with him...because it seems that I'm frigid towards all other men now. I just don't desire any other man but him. And I RESENT that--because it's so unfair that he can desire other women, but I only want him.

But of course I won't let him fuck me.

Kola: I hate to say it, but I agree with Babygirl.

Babygirl: LOL! We both know it won't last. I'm sure I'll write something sooner or later that'll have you spewing venom at me for breathing.

Kola: And I resent that I'm so poor that I have to live on this ranch (HIS house, HIS property) and that I have to count on him for money----

Babygirl: Which is exactly why he does what he does and gets away with it. I believe you've conditioned yourself and allowed yourself to believe that you "NEED" Thomas when the fact is you don't know what you need or what you can have and do alone if you've never done it for yourself. It's easy to sit around and wait for the master to come to you but stepping out on your own and telling the master to do for himself takes a strength and resolve you've not yet discovered in yourself. It will come in time. It may not happen until he's back and he does something else to hurt and degrade you, but it will come. Sooner or later you'll step out on faith and trust in all that energy and strength we've been witness to and do for Kola. When that happens, Thomas and any other man who doesn't show you the respect you deserve will all be damned.

Babygirl,

Just because a man leaves doesn't mean he can/should stay gone. And just because he once left doesn't mean his woman should abstain from taking him back.

There are ups/downs, ebbs/flows in a marriage. And sometimes you may have to leave before you can best understand why you should stay.

And, by ALL Kola's accounting here, dude has dutifully/respectfully upheld his primary responsibilities (providing adequate/comforting food, clothing and shelter) to her and their children.

Given how a lot, HELL, most foks behave when they split, what Thomas has done say A LOT to me about his manly quality/character.

And if you've read my posts on this subject, I've ENCOURAGED her to date, not wait for Thomas.

But come on now. This thing ain't over by a longshot

All indications are these are 2 people who are still very much in love who are just trying to figure out how they can be together.

I can't fault either of them for trying to make things work.

Kola,

Let's be honest: The easiest dayam thing someone like Thomas can do in LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA is to bone a bunch of young/skanky chicks.

Hell. All dude has to do is accidently trip and fall forward and there's a 50-50 chance he'd land in the free/easy lap of some hoochie.

He didn't have to leave home to score some extracurricular p-funk. 'Cause if he's got any kinda game, he could been doing that $#*+ during his lunch breaks.

This ain't just about p@$$%. And you do yourself and your family a disservice to pretend that it is.

ABM: There are ups/downs, ebbs/flows in a marriage. And sometimes you may have to leave before you can best understand why you should stay.

Babygirl: I agree, but when you leave and the manner of your leaving is blatantly disrespectful, demeaning, and lacking in any type of love or caring, what message are you really sending?

A man who "dutifully/respectfully upheld his primary responsibilities (providing adequate/comforting food, clothing and shelter) to her and their children" may well be a good man. But when there is behavior and actions that are clearly TOXIC to a woman's spirit and mental health, HE may well need to stay gone for HER own good.

Love aside, and like Tina said, "what's love got to do with it?" a successful marriage or relationship requires much more than love. It may very well be in a woman's best interest to take a man back, only those individuals know for sure, but what is clear if they want it to truly work, is that no one, male or female should fall back into the same patterns of behavior that he/she was running from or to in the first place.

ABM: You mean other than the message that says you're a human being who occassionally makes some MONUMENTAL mistakes?

And I think Thomas would argue there are MANY things Kola does (MANY of which manifest HERE) that he'd consider to be "toxic" to his "spirtal and mental health". Perhaps THAT is what resulted in what he did and the mannner in which he did it.

Citing Tina Turner is fine. I'm happy she's enjoying her life in Europe with her German lover. I don't think, though the problems and the wisdom she had with and garnered from ol' Ike are evident here.

I agree with you BABYGIRL,

although I may as well admit....

....that if Thomas wants to come back, I already KNOW that there's no way I can resist taking him back. I'm positively addicted to him and I love him in countless foolish ways. I don't have the strength to turn him away.

And yet he is an honorable man. If I told him that he couldn't come back here---he would honor that and not try to force it.

Kola, you wrote this on another thread:

"The MAIN reason you see females running into trouble is because (a) they're emotional and delusional and CARELESS (b) they let men dictate their sex (c) they put LOVE before rational thinking."

"they put LOVE before rational thinking."

Clearly, wherein the best advisor (outsider looking in) might attempt to approach your problem rationally, from whatever angle, only you know what's best for you. You know your strengths and you are very much aware that Thomas and your love for him is your weakness.

Plus my mother and father want me with Thomas. In my mother's eyes he can do no wrong. My dad respects him.

The boys want their father back.

It's really up to Thomas.

Although, I do feel the anger and resentment that BabyGirl is talking about and I do realize that she's right---I could be setting myself up for another giant heartbreak.

And one more truth----I can't tell if Thomas is really trying to COME BACK or just score some pussy. But he's acting in "courtship" mode towards me.

What makes me bitter is that he obviously just broke up with another woman and is running to me.

Kola,

I 'heard' you. I was responding as much to Babygirl as I was to you.

Because I think we've become so accustomed to tossing foks when something goes wrong, we don't even recognize when a relationship is salvageable.

Of course you could be setting yourself up for heartbreak.

So what? That's what we ALL do.

There're no guarantees. Never will be.

But totally discarding what you and Thomas have had, at this point, is very premature.

And as I said before, I think you should continue to date. Because yeah, you don't know what Thomas is up to. So you shouldn't have everything riding on him.

Who knows, maybe someone will come along who'll either sweep you off your feet and/or compel Thomas to step up his game to where you need it to be.

ABM, if Thomas wants to come back---I will take him back.

Next week, however, I'm going to see LAMBD in Washington, D.C.

After that, I have no more dates lined up and because of how Thomas is acting---I don't see myself accepting any.

One VERY exciting thing---

Blink magazine

I've just been informed that there's a FEATURE ARTICLE article about me this month in the South African men's magazine, BLINK (not the one shown above). My name is on the cover!!!

BLINK is the "GQ" magazine of South Africa. It's a men's fashion and political magazine---owned and operated by ALL BLACKS with a Black Woman as one of the Senior Editors.

And more than that----the article is very POSITIVE, praising and celebrating Kola Boof as a great "Heroine" of Africa.

Now if only I could read the articles in Vietnam, which I understand portray me as Bin Laden's "provocative", insane but likeable mistress.

They've got photos and a 4 page write up---"Queen Kola Stands Up for Africa!", but never contacted me.

Kola,

Seriously. CONGRATS!

You should consider this a form of praise/esteem.

Because you're getting big when you have complimentary (and even insulting) articles written about you without your involvement.

If you like what they did, drop'em a line to thank them and invite them to interview you.

ABM:

they thought the unpredictable firebreathin' Kola would swell up and blast their @$$e$.

KOLA:

That's exactly what it is. LOL. They didn't want to risk asking me the wrong thing and messing up their story or having me be too forthcoming about even the right things. Africans are NOT READY for Kola Boof's Americanized mouth, trust me.

I already sent a thank you.

ABM, not a single bad thing was said about me in the article.

It was PURE PRAISE and adoration!

This is 3 African countries now--Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya---where major Media Profiles have been done about me and were all very positive---which is a GIANT indication that "African MEN" are in alliance with what I'm doing and saying.

That for me is the important note.

However, check the tone of this Egyptian newspaper story (I am half Egyptian) that ENDS with a cryptic message to yours truly:

MAINTAINING FAMILY HONOR

by Al Skudsi bin Hookah, roving reporter and foreign correspondent for The Gaza Gajeera.

Jan 20, 2003

I am very unhappy. Our way of life is under attack. And we are not fighting back. Deep down, we know that when a woman has disgraced her family, nothing will restore honor except by killing her. This is understood in Jordan, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Egypt, the Gaza strip and the West Bank. So why are we Arabs telling the Western press that honor killing is cultural, that it is not really part of Islam? Our way of life is based on maintaining our honor. And make no mistake about it: a woman does tarnish her family's honor by engaging in pre-marital sex, or by getting herself raped, when she seeks divorce and when she marries against her family's wishes.

Why are we pussyfooting? Are we ashamed of what we do? Why are some of us trying to play it down? Like the people who say it's the same as battering women in America. Come on, now. Sometimes, when we correct a wife's behavior by a well-deserved beating, we can maybe go a little too far. But that's different. Or there's this guy, Mohammed Haz Yahya at the Hebrew University (wouldn't you know it), who makes believe killing to protect our honor is like the western world's crime of passion. Come on now.

It's not just religious leaders who know it's the right thing to do. Many of the most progressive political leaders are the ones who defend the practice. To maintain the integrity of our society and our traditions, we must maintain our honor by any and every means. And keeping our women pure is a big part of our honor. So there's no point saying honor killing isn't really part of our religion. Our religion isn't just what's in the Koran. Honor killings fit into the cultural context of today's Islamic teachings. Honor and Islam are inextricably bound; they are what give our life meaning. A strong religion demands we choose to maintain our honor.

I am also annoyed that news reports focus on gory details instead of showing compassionate understanding of what motivated the men who act vigorously to maintain honor. They are the real victims. Their honor was violated, so killing the offending woman is self-defense. Instead, like in this story, reporters graphically describe the damage done by the ax -- of course an ax is going to do damage. Listen to this:

" Two months ago, when she tried to run away yet again, Kina grabbed a kitchen knife and an ax and stabbed and beat the girl [his daughter] until she lay dead in the blood-smeared bathroom of the family's Istanbul apartment. He then commanded one of his daughters-in-law to clean up the mess. When his two sons came home from work 14 hours later, he ordered them to dispose of the 5-foot-3 corpse, which had been wrapped in a carpet and a blanket. The girl's head had been so mutilated, police said, it was held together by a knotted cloth."

And this:
"Kifaya Husayn, a 16-year-old Jordanian girl, was lashed to a chair by her 32-year-old brother. He gave her a drink of water and told her to recite an Islamic prayer. Then he slashed her throat. Immediately afterward, he ran out into the street, waving the bloody knife and crying, 'I have killed my sister to cleanse my honor.' Kifaya's crime? She was raped by another brother, a 21-year-old man. Her judge and jury? Her own uncles, who convinced her eldest brother that Kifaya was too much of a disgrace to the family's honor to be allowed to live. The murderer was sentenced to fifteen years, but the sentence was subsequently reduced to seven and a half years, an extremely severe penalty by Jordanian standards."

This one is better. At least the reporter focused on why the brother had to kill his sister.

A 25-year-old Palestinian who hanged his sister with a rope: "I did not kill her, but rather helped her to commit suicide and to carry out the death penalty she sentenced herself to. I did it to wash with her blood the family honor that was violated because of her and in response to the will of society that would not have had any mercy on me if I didn't . . . Society taught us from childhood that blood is the only solution to wash the honor."
And here, at least, we can see it isn't just some ignorant slobs who live in the boonies.
" `I would do what I have to do,' said Bassam al-Hadid, a Jordanian with an American doctorate who spent 12 years as a hospital administrator in the United States, when asked whether he would kill a daughter who had sex outside marriage."
I have to say that I'm heartened to see that in families that respect themselves, women are as dedicated as men.

"Samia Sarwar, 29, mother of two boys aged 4 and 8, was shot dead today in lawyer Hina Jillani's office by a bearded man accompanying her mother and uncle. `He's my helper, I can't walk,' said the mother, when Hina told the two men to get out. As the mother went to sit down in front of Hina's desk, and Saima stood up from her chair, the bearded man whipped out a pistol from his waistcoat and shot Saima in the head, killing her instantly."
A European I know said he doesn't understand why a girl who is raped has to die to protect her family's honor. "After all," he said, "it isn't her fault". Is it so hard to understand that when an unmarried woman is no longer sexually pure, the family is humiliated? Her lack of chastity brings shame to everyone in her family. How else can her family's honor be cleansed except by her blood? What's to understand?

Actually, it's important that you understand that her impure state can destabilize morality in our whole society. If you don't understand that, you won't understand that our honor demands that we must tolerate no impertinance.

Everyone must know their place. Men must be in control of their families. Women and children must obey. Women must devote themselves to the care of their husband and children. Or things will spiral out of control.

We could end up with a big bunch of Kola Boofs. And you know what a headache she is. She was born respectable but she was brought up in America. Maybe that has something to do with it. She poses barebreasted on the cover of that disgusting book she wrote and she no longer considers herself a Muslim.

It's too bad her publisher had to be threatened before he stopped publishing her latest book. But he should have known better than to try to publish a book that is so disrespectful to the Arab Islamic communities in Europe and in Africa.

Boof has made terrible accusations. Listen to this one:

"As a black African woman, I cannot and will not be silent as black men in Arab nations are chained up like dogs to the back doors of Muslim households and fed, literally, from doggie bowls. I will not be silent as African women are raped, mutilated and mentally demeaned by sadistic human beings calling themselves children of Allah. I will not be silent as the number of little black boys who are sodomized by their Arab masters continues to soar, while even worse atrocities attend the lives of little black girls."

So maybe her disobedience started small. But, now, like the Shariah court in London's Islamic community said: she is guilty of "deliberately and maliciously bearing false witness against religious sentiment and of willing treason against her Arab Muslim father's people and against her nation, the Sudan."
And that's why Sudan has a fatwa out on her.
