Lord. I get no rest.
(1) Thomas's mother wants him to get custody of my sons.
Luckily, Thomas already told her she can forget it.
This is the Wild Wild West, their mother's a cowboy and they just have to live with it.
But she's adamant that I'm in too much trouble and that the boys should be raised Christian instead of in their mother's Womb religion.
(2) There are 2 MEN beating down my door---SERIOUSLY after me----at just the time when I have no time to be serious about a man.
One of these men..............is a White Jewish guy..........and (GULP) I really like him. It's only been a week, but it's just so romantic how he's pursuing me!! The other one is a handsome soul BROTHA (both are journalists)...only he's been known to cheat on his women, and he's kinda sexist---but he claims all that would change if Kola Boof would just agree to be his "wife". Of course, because he's Black like my sons---he has a definite EDGE. I've known him 4 years and we get along great---over the phone----BUT, he's coming to my signing in Washington, D.C., although I won't let him take me out YET (because he's too serious about me and has sent me a lot of money and flowers and stuff, which SCARES me---he's really a womanizer, I've been told).
I'm also going out with LAMBD when I come to D.C., but he hasn't written me lately---and trust me, he isn't the least bit serious about anything other than my promise to kiss him one time and let him feel my titties one time.
ANY ADVICE?

If you and Thomas are Jake on how to raise the chillens, screw ol' gurl!
I wouldn’t worry ‘cause if dude’s momma really called the shots over him, he likely never would have hooked up with some outlandish, ex-hoochie momma African chick to begin with.
Still. Be as polite to her as you can. ‘Cause a vengeful mother can wreck even the healthiest of relationships.
And just go out and have fun with those jokers. No harm there.
But try not to invest too much emotion and expectation into dating. ‘Cause you don’t KNOW these guys. You don’t owe each other ANYTHING..
The only thing any of them are good for at this point is a free dinner and a show, a few laughs, and, perhaps, an orgasmic release (assuming they’re lucky).
And if you bone any of’em, PULEASE use high-quality prophylactics! (especially for Lambd...Hehe!). There’s no predicting what...or WHOM...guys are getting into these days (says the last confirmed male heterosexual).
PS: It would be ‘INTERESTING’ if fell in love with and married the Jewish guy. I wonder how your doing THAT might affect your rhetoric and writing. |

Your posts are always so wonderful, ABM.
And I can assure you that I probably will never even KISS the Jewish Guy, let alone marry him-----BUT-----I really do like him to the point that I wish he were black.
If I did not have my sons to raise....then perhaps I would seriously consider loving him. But I don't see how installing a White father of a Jewish faith is good for young black boys raised in the river.

I'm not DATING the Jewish Guy.
He's PURSUING me.
And the way he's doing it so inventive and romantic.....that I simply can't help being swept off my feet and feeling like a normal, all-American White Princess. It's so TV.
But no---he doesn't realize that he doesn't stand a chance.
Of course, I won't even let ANY MAN near my sons or my home.
But it's nice, now that I've lost about 15 pounds and started wearing a LOT more makeup, to feel that I'm not "DONE" or "Washed Up". And it's fun knowing that if I really wanted to give black men the finger and cross over----I could do it.
My Jewish Guy's mother was an abused Hasidic Jew who ran away and became a Writer like me---so it's refreshing to have a man who REALLY understands my work and "women's work" and femininism.
I still can't even IMAGINE going to bed with a man who isn't Thomas, however.
For some reason---I just don't want it if it's not him. Which is a CRUELTY of life.
I am NOT...able to move on as Thomas is, and I think that's the problem for women in general.
