This is so sad. I had a dream last night that I walked out to get the newspaper and it had Whitney's picture on the FRONT PAGE with the headline: "Whitney Houston---DEAD AT 43". I was so startled by the dream that I bolted awake...out of my dream, immediately! What will it take to save this woman? It seems to me that GOD had gifted her with so very much-----unequaled vocal talent, harmonious beauty, a good family foundation-------and miraculously, the one most destined to succeed has turned out to be the one that we pray and cry for. I love Whitney so much and my sons and I are going to pray for her at the river this afternoon. We cannot understand what demons are torturing this woman to the point where she cannot get up off the ground. Whatever happens to Whitney is her own fault at this point. Anybody that rich who cant get it together gets no sympathy from me. I have my problems too but this self destructive is ridiculous.

Dear Anonymous; Unfortunately, too many people believe that having wealth "insulates" us from the problems of those with less, materially. Many times, the wealthy are MORE insecure because they aren't sure who truly LIKES THEM or merely desires what they have. We should offer compassion to those in crisis...the next emotional meltdown could be our own. |

Lena Horne would prefer a crack addict portray her over someone who's only 'offense' is she had an untimely garment 'accident'? |
