In America, they consider suicide to be a "cowardly" act--but in Africa and Asia, it is considered one of the bravest things a human being can do, provided they make it. Whether for the right or the wrong---Hunter Thompson is no longer with us; and although I don't agree with what he stood for, as a female and as an African....I greatly admired him as an artist and was greatly inspired by his courage, and especially thought that his approach to art was nothing less than heroic and truthful. He was a brilliant writer, and like me, totally Unorthodox and Passionately Political in his approach to art...infusing his fiction with a quasi-journalism/reality . He was 67. May the ancestors welcome him and may he rest in peace. A GLORIOUS MAN, I think. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=518158

Have you ever considered being such a brave Afrikan warrior-babe and doing the same thing? It sure would make a whole lot of us happy. |
