I am a BIG fan of ZANE...and I'm not just saying that because I know her.
I'm saying it because #1) She's responsible for my second son being conceived--his daddy got hold to one of her books on my nightstand and literally poked me for a WEEK straight, having us act out some of the passages. It was FUN with a capital "F". #2) There's never been a BLACK FEMALE author like ZANE before...and God knows how "inhibited", "prudish" and "respectability obsessed" Black American women can be--I was so glad to find one who gives us permission to be WOMEN in the sexual sense and to actually ENJOY it.
#3) The girl is QUEEN and TOP SELLER...mainly because she makes what she does look easy....and there's two dozen wannabes each year who try to write FORMULAIC over-sexed versions of Zane's books....only to find themselves on the junk heap with no sales and no sensation. It's called....."the touch".
And ZANE's got it.
PLEASE SISTERS....and daddy men, too....treat yourself to Zane's latest release....the sizzling, worth-every-dime and moment of your time bestselling hit........."AFTERBURN"....I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT....and the suprise ending especially pleased me, because it was so KolaBoof-ish.
It's been a blockbuster on the N.Y. TIMES for weeks now....and both my mother and my sister have enjoyed it as well.
