Hello....and welcome to AALBC.COM's newest discussion board...THE KOOL ROOM!
My name is Kola Boof, but I prefer that you just call me "Kola"....
...I also ask that you kick off your shoes, put on your most OPINIONATED thinking cap, set your mouth to say whatever the hell you feel like saying...and join in the fun...as we talk about books we're reading, the literary industry itself, the latest gossip, current affairs, controversial social issues and anything else that comes across our minds.
THE KOOL ROOM is actually "my board"--but please feel free to act like it's yours. No one will ever be banned from this board (not by me)....and I especially enjoy having brothers and sisters from all walks of life converse about their divergent experiences and thoughts....and express themselves...even when their view point is totally different from mines and from other posters.
There's no need for registration.
We're all adults here, we're all equals, and because this is cyberspace, we all have the right to argue each other down...or...love each other into nirvana. Hopefully, this place of ours will become a kind of family gathering porch where it's safe to vent, express our feelings and share in each other's backgrounds and opinions.
I myself won't be able to post everyday--but I will be dropping in whenever I can and I will try to keep the board festooned with interesting topics, links, information about upcoming events, new book releases and I welcome ALL POSTERS, including other published authors and professionals in the book industry to add their two cents, toot their horn and let us know what's happening with books as well.
If you have a "short story" or a "poem" that you've written and would like us to Critique it for you....feel free to post it, but also be ready to hear the TRUTH about its merits...and also be advised that many, many, many of the posters at AALBC.COM are million selling authors (such as Zane, Solomon Jones, Eric Jerome Dickey, Berniece McFadden and Brandon Massey), book editors, agents, newspaper journalists, book club presidents, book reviewers and even quite a few television, music and radio personalities. For instance, Etta James, Danny Glover, Pam Grier, Motown legend Martha Reeves and radio diva Wendy Williams have all frequented the pages at AALBC.COM. You would do well to keep your eyes and ears on this board...because many good tips and insider INFO floats around here all the time...which could help you in your own career.
I thank AALBC.COM owner Troy Johnson for suggesting that I have my own discussion board and I hope that it lives up to the title I've given it. Please use this thread to tell us a little about yourself and to post a "welcome" message back to me. I appreciate it.
Once again...welcome to THE KOOL ROOM...and please tell others to drop by. I really need your hits and I'm so grateful for them.

Isis thank you for having me on your show, today.....you are so wonderful.....but forgive me for being so lethargic and DOWN.
I really wasn't happy with my end of the interview and I apologize for not totally being there.
My new board debuted today, I had singing rehearsals for my upcoming event in Omaha, I had to catch up on writing and look after my sons.
I was just out of it today.
But you know how much I love and appreciate your support.
