Hey have you guys seen the picture of Condi Rice circulating with the articles on her refusing to testify for the 9-11 commission. Don't she look like the devil. Is this the medias was of shifting the blame off bullet head Bush? In the phot she literally looks evil. tsk, tsk. |

Well, in fairness to the sister, when you sign on with somebody you sign on to be an advocate and to uphold their positions--etc.
Of course, if your employer or boss take a position that is unwise or illegal a person with honor can always resign--

Condoleeza Rice does look like a rat-faced santanic ferret! As I said before, she is a nanny who goes behind Bush and cleans up the mess he makes. Better still, a mammy, a wet-nurse whose shrivelled up jugs are there for Bush to nurse. |

Cynique: The vitriol! I wonder did she know what she was getting herself in for when she signed on for this. Apparently she is an expert on the Soviet Union, knew zilch about the Mideast. Wolfowitz fed her the line on Iraq and the Mideast, and she fed it to Bush.

She does look awful but she is just doing her job,. Bush keeps to keep living out his childhood dream of palying president and war and she and Colin Powell take the heat. I think Powell should have retired when he had the chance with his reputation in tact. |

I don't know, maybe COndi shouldn't have taken the job...if u know this government is imperialist and you're anti-imperialist, then why accept the position...the fact is that ConRice and ColinP a solely loyal to the US, which is fine. It is clear that many of us are completely integrated and that we have achieved what some of our leaders wanted: to be americans...hyphenless. Though, of course, this is not really true and it only takes a few times to be stopped by the police or be rejected for a job or followed in a department store and will learn that we aren't full-fledged citizens. Interestly, many of us can be discriminated against and will never know, because some of us have lost that cultural suspicion and memory... |

Robert Novak, a white, conservative newspaper columnist is trying to play the race card by saying that author Richard Clarke resents the fact that a black woman has so much power and that's why he wrote a book indirectly attacking her for the policies she implemented. There might be a grain of truth in this. But Condoleeza's power is an illusion. She has to answer to every white man in the Bush inner circle, and she can be forced out of the loop anytime she doesn't walk in lock-step with the rest of those imperilistic facists. |

I surmised about 1/2 way through my discussions with Yukio that he(she) was either a dyed-in-the-wool lesbian or a guy. I find it VERY interesting that ‘he’ would allow us to presume he was a woman. But hey, "to each his (or her) own." |

I can care less about Condi Rice's stern countenance. Yeah, I wouldn't count the africana.com photo to be among her more flattering photo ops. But I can't go there because, really, there are A LOT of people in DC and state/city government who make Rice look like Halle Berry.
What I DON'T understand is why Rice (the Head of the NSA); the Head of the CIA; the Head of the FBI and the Head of the FAA still have jobs?
Let's think about this: Jayson Blair (who should be bitchslapped by every Black person who has ever worked in journalism) doctors up over 90 stories for the NYT and that get 1/2 of the Times senior editorial staff axed. Yet +3,000 are killed in one day, 1,000's more are killed in wars in Afghanistan, Iraq; our economy is trashed, people are being held without being formally charged with a crime; we STILL haven't nabbed Osama Bin Laden, etc et al...and NO ONE in the Bush Administration, not even the people who are hired to protect us, is made to pay for it. And worse than that, NO ONE, neither Democrat or Republican has demanded that at least SOMEONE gets booted out on their a$$.
If there were even a modicum of justice in this world, Condelessa Rice would have been FIRED on September 12, 2001! |

Well, ABM, you have to consider that there are great numbers of Americans who think our brave boys are fighting for freedom and democracy, and these mostly-white Republican conservatives approve of what the Bush administration is doing because to believe otherwise would tax their brains and besmirch their patiotism. |

I basically stated that no one asked and more importantly my opinions on books, etc.. had nothing or not much to do with my sex, epecially since I have rarely, to my memory that is, participated in flirtations with other posters...

The difference bet. Rice and Blair is that one misled on his own, and the other misled under the direction of the president of the US of A, as well as what Cynique states...the belief by some US citizens that the military is fighting for "freedom and democracy."
