Here is a story of some people (Jewish) who don't think boycott is a dirty word and here is what the mere threat of one accomplished http://www.local6.com/news/2761590/detail.html

Chris, I agree this is a clear example of the effectiveness of the threat of boycotting. And on balance, I would likely concede the appropriate steps were taken. But a part of me can't help wondering whether the local/national press that the white supremist group received from their opponents' actions did in fact RAISE its profile above what it might have been had their silly a$$ sign been simply ignored. |

ABM: The Nazi Party was just seven guys in a basement sitting around talking in 1920. In 1922 they had more followers, but were largely confined to Munich. In 1923 they were scattered, leader in jail, banned, underground. From Then until 1929 they never numbered more than 100,000. A bunch of clowns with costumes, flags, loudmouths. People laughed at them. Drew cartoons about them. Then the stock market crash of 1929. Then the elections of 1932. Then Kristallnacht, the cocentration camps, the Holocaust The Jews have had experience in ingorning silly a$$ signs and people and have decided "Never Again" Its hard to disagree. |
