Kola,
I find it interesting that many of your followers appear to be quite consumed by our (mostly innocent) flirting.
My wife is aware of how I carry on here. She even refers to you as my "African girlfriend".
And although she doesn't 'like' all of what I do here, she basically views it to be mostly sophomoric venting of my (enormous) ego and sexual proclivities.
And she consider it to be preferable to my chasing lose/wanton women on the streets.
So I guess in some respects, she should 'thank' you.

Yes, people take it so seriously.
But I guess that's because--inherent in any "joke"---is the germ of truth/fact being what makes it funny.
And as well...we have VOWED not to meet in person, has a ceremony to promise NOT TO...and have not even allowed phone calls. So that does indicate that we could be in big trouble.
But I think you're right. We're BEYOND big kids and we know how to handle ourselves, so they should give it a rest.
Funny how they always DEMONIZE "me"---but only mention you in passing. I'm the evil wanton whore.

Well, when any man and any woman share ANY kind of discourse, that natural desire for the man to want to f@#$ the woman is ALWAYS there...lurking.
And when you add to that ongoing conversation, exchange of mutual likes, etc., it is easy for that which appear at first 'interesting' to evolve into what appears 'inevitable'.
But such does not necessarily have to be the case. And the playing must suffice.

And as for "Anthony"---he wanted a signed book and asked me to help him get some radio gigs to promote his book.
I asked him to email me ONLY to give him emails to friends I know.
But they immediately HISS at me.
I email LawChic, Kathleen Cross, Sisgal and speak with them on phone---what's the big deal?
Anthony's getting married. And I AM NOT A WHORE---I just broke up with the greatest leading man in the world!! I will not be sleeping with another many for a VERYRRRRRY long time. But damn...can't I just flirt with ABM and go to dinner with LAMBD?
Kola needs male attention, too, even if SHE ISNT available to be fucked right now.

There's this Jewish lady in Brooklyn who used to write me EVERY TIME you wrote a poem for me.
She's mad that we're not "following our hearts". LOL
It's so silly.
People have actually offered to make our wedding cake....AND....one bed and breakfast "Carriage House" in Maryland has offered FREE WEEKEND for us to "sneak away there".
It's so bizzare.

ABM---STOP IT.
Anthony has no interest in me..nor I him like that.
He really did email me, totally respectfully, asking if I could help get him booked on a radio show.
As for the signed book--he'll have to buy one then send it to my publisher, then they get it to me, I sign it and then the publisher mails it back.
ASK CAREY...it took Carey 5 weeks to receive his signed book from me.
Only with Lawchic did I send it straight, because she's a lawyer and a black woman and I trust her.
There is NOTHING betwixt me and Anthony. PLEASE don't get that started, because I'll be getting more HATE mail over that boy.

Hello I just want to make it clear that I am not trying to use Kola to promote my book and looked at her website and her writing and found it very interesting. I never thought or want her to give me a free book I planned on paying her for the book. I don't need hand outs. I came on this site for insight into the publishing world from my people (African American) I wanted to learn from all of you who are experince writers. If we as a people can't help each other how can we overcome. I am not here to use anyone. Aprior |

It’s kinda fun being this mythical subject of the fantasies of women I’ve never met. (This must be some of what it’s like to be Denzel Washington.). But I am bound (& gagged) to the missus. Love, honor and utter dread of an unfavorable divorce settlement pretty much keeps ol’ Jim Browski in-line.
