once again their are two brothers that can't work together. only one wants their name on the marquee. and instead of working it out amongst themselves, just like in real life, they needed "the man" to intervene. |

this situation with kobe and shaq is that they do not want to share the spotlight with one another. so it basically meant one of them had to leave. the beef that has been going on for some time is that kobe is young, intelligent, and was a threat to shaq's career. now what did you make out of this subject? |

Ylonjure, No offense intended. But you must be kind of young. Well, based on what little I know about this issue, I think I disagree with you. I side with Shaq over Kobe for several reasons: @ Simply, Shaq is the better, more accomplished basketball player. He has a far better record of winning WITHOUT Kobe than does Kobe having WITHOUT Shaq. Kobe is a fake-wannabe Michael Jordan, without Jordan’s abilities, maturity, composure...and d@#$-control. @ Phil Jackson (alleged) sided with Shaq over Kobe, which apparently is the reason why Phil was canned. Hey! If Jordan could defer to Coach Jackson - and summarily won 6 Championships in 8 years - who the f#$% does a punk@$$ like Kobe think he is that he should demand different? @ Kobe is 25 years old. He has another 10 years left to be great. Shaq is older an at best has perhaps 3 truly great years left. A mature Kobe would have taken the money, continue to vie for championships and bided his time until Shaq’s skills diminished to the point where he could more easily be promoted to the team’s lead role. But is hell-bent on proving himself to be ensconced with all-time NBA elite class. And he just doesn’t get it. Magic had Kareem/Worthy, Bird had Parish/McHale, MJ had Pippen. The greatest players played with the greatest players. Heck! Bill Russell is considered to be arguably the game’s greatest player yet he had so many good players surrounding him he only had to average 15 points/game for his career. @ And most of all: There is an even chance that Kobe Bryant will be pressing license plates of the State of Colorado penal system come the end of this year. |

Ylonjure: I see what you mean, now. I guess this is another example of the degeneracy and hopelessness of the black race. I suppose all of us Negroes ought to go out and commit suicide. Happens all the time. Players can't get along with the team mates, Players can't get along with the coaches, players can't get along with the fans. Everybody acts like it is the end of the world. In a few years nobody will know who Kobe and Shaq are. |

Chrishayden I agree with that last statement. They will be has-beens in less than 5 years. |

The two of you can't possibly be serious. Shaq has already left his mark on the NBA. He aint the greatest player that ever played the game, by far. But he aint no slouch either. I doubt very seriously if basketball fans will forget about the Shaq anytime soon. If Kobe can stay out of jail and keep his personal life personal, he's on his way to a stellar career as well. |
