Hello All, After reading, or should I say TRYING to read Entanglement, I need a good book fast. So, I started The Big Mango by Norman Kelley. The Big Mango is the second installment of Kelley's Nina Halligan series. The first being Black Heat. I loved the cover. You all know I had to show it to you. Anyway, when I'm done with The Big Mango (which is shaping up right nicely to being an awesome read), I'm going to start Kelley's latest novel A Phat Death. Nice cover on this one as well. I wonder if Kelley has any say on his covers? Now THIS is what I'm talking about. If you want to get men to read books, these covers won't hurt the cause, see what I'm sayin? I'm reading Kelley back to back because I plan on having him stop by for an on-line chat. |

Hello All, I finished The Big Mango last Thursday. Oh, man, what an awsome book. I loved-ed it! It is a full bodied mystery/suspense novel. It's entertaining, philisophical, and thought provoking. I highly recommend it. I don't see why Norman Kelley isn't more popular than he is. |

Have you ever met him? He's a little, well, intense. Doesn't really like to promote and is sort of prickly. A fine writer though. But doesn't act in a "commercial" manner. Hopefully, his writing will get through regardless based on word of mouth -- but then again, word of mouth on his attitude may get through as well. |

Hello All, Litgrrl: I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Kelley. Hopefully, real soon I can correct that, with an on-line chat. I'll post the time and date of it (crossing my fingers) when everything is firmed up. |
