Hi, my name is Sonya and I'm currently writing my first non-fiction novel, "A Love Letter to Black Men." It's an anthology of thought from a black woman and how she interprets black men from an observational standpoint. It's part tribute, part motivational, analytical and part political. Does this sound interesting to you? I hope so. It's my opinion that black men are highly misunderstood and grossly criticized-even by many black women. There's never any counter to what is being said... My book is not a rant book. Nor is it overly scholarly. The style of the book is very relaxed, but poignant enough to get the attention of black men. Currenly, I'm looking for an agent.

Sonya--- Is this book complete? That would be the first step to getting an agent. A complete manuscript, than a thorough editing by a professional. How do you define a nonfction novel anthology? If the novel is complete, take a look at Insiders Guide to Editors, Agents & Publishers in addition to the Writers Market Books. I believe that both of these have sample query letters along with agent listings. Bayou |
