Here is another remarkable book by Mary Monroe. I sure would like to chat with others who have read "The Other Room" as the other two books written by Mary. |

I agree with you on Mary Monroe's books. I love every single one of them!! How did you like The Upper Room? I was just telling my cousin's sister-in-law about The Upper Room and Mama Ruby!! *LOL* I'm glad you mentioned Mary Monroe. I've been promising her to do an on-line chat for a while now. I'll see what I can do when her new book come out. |

Well actually that's the only book of Mary's that I haven't read. I loved the others especially "God Don't Like Ugly". "Gonna Lay Down My Burdons" was o.k, Some attention was lost in the middle of the book, but the end was unexpected. Guess you can't judge a book by it's cover. |

I just finished Lay My Burdons Down. I thought it was o.k. The story was good but there was just something about the writing that didn't grab me. |

Yea, I feel ya K, it took me longer to read because there wasn't alot of drama in the middle of the book, but the best part is the ending. |

I adore Mary as a person and I adore her books. I just purchased God Still Don't Like Ugly this past weekend and once I turn in my manuscript at the end of this week, I plan to curl up with Mary's book for the weekend and chill.
