Posted on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 - 04:05 pm:        Today I received information from a reliable source that a teacher at C.E. Byrd High School located in Shreveport, Louisiana is being sued by the parents of one of her students. It seems as though the parents felt that Bernice McFadden's novel - The Warmest December - which the teacher assigned the class to read - was inappropriate and so is taking action in the form of a lawsuit.
