They say your character is based on the type of music you listen to. Y'all believe that? I have Janet's Damita Joe bumping in my car right now. Hmmmmm...does that mean I'm feeling a little freaky? |

Hello All, Now some of yawl is alright, some yawl aint. Yawl know I'm Aretha's number one fan. I was just listening to a remix of Rock Steady, which is da bomb by the way. I love Prince's new CD. Earlier this morning I was listening to Errol Garner's version of "Happiness is a Thing Called Joe", now Cynique and my ol' Grayhead (Lawd knows his jazz chops aint what they use to be) are probably the only ones here who know who Errol Garner is. Right now, at this very minute I got Regina Belle on the box. |

Well to be honest my I have two brother's and one buy both of my parents one by just my father anyway my brother by both just my brother he's the same age as my baby sister 21 so their is quite a gsp their plus I didnt grow up with him,let me make this a short one .Any way since it was memorial day I went to work and afterwards we went to the visit his grave he died in LA but we brought his body back to Arkansas. So me and my brother shared a deep love for prince music. My brother was truly my best friend in the world and when he died he left me some money and his prized prince collection. And you know what the prince collection meant more to me because I knew how my brother put his heart and soul into the collection he had every cd.cd single, album yea I know some of ya'll remember those albums. So anyway write now it's funny but sometimes in snows in April is on. |

Klb: Yes, Yes, Yes, Anthony Hamilton's CD is tight!!!!!! For those that don't know, Anthony Hamilton has a little of everything! (i.e. gospel, soul, jazz) It's well worth the funds! Klb, my favorite tracks are "Sometimes it gets hard...coming from where I'm from...I'm from..." and "You picked a fiiiine time to leave me, Lucille." Oh, and number 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 10. Oh, and the last one, too. Teena Marie has a nice CD, too. One of her tracks concern me, though. I believe it's #8, where she pays tribute to all the stars that have passed on, and mentions Stevie Wonders name. What's up with that? Did he pass? How come I haven't heard anything? |

cynique...i have all except her first cd...if sure u know someone who can burn the cds for ya...if not, i can hook ya up! Also, cassandra wilson's recent album is nice, but not as good as Traveling Miles. Bookgirl, if you are a fan you still should cop CW's last cd...it is good! |

yukio, i love that song "Orange Moon." "I'm an Orange Moon I'm brighter than before Brighter than ever before I'm an Orange Moon and I shine so bright Cause I reflect the light of my sun I praise the day, he turned my way And smiled at me He gets to smile and I get to be orange, that I love to be" cynique, you are missing out if you've never heard an E.B. cd. i'm feeling Anthony Hamilton's joint. he's coming in concert with Mary J. Blige in July. I'm also bumping Musiq's latest "Soulstar." |

I hear a lot of the music y'all are talking about on cd players in cars that I'm a passenger in. Sadly, I am in such a passive place in my life that I no longer seek the latest music; I just let it come to me. And, believe me, Usher's latest is "burning" my ears. (I consider myself to be in the youth of my old age, but I'm beginning to think I am more old than young. Sigh) |

I was trying to listen to "You are the Sunshine of my life" but, for some reason, it sounded all warped and out of tune, so I turned it off... I like Anita Baker, too, Lambd. I hear she's finally back in the studio, recording a new album. |
