Hello all you couch Psychologist, Psychiatrist and wannabe movie and book critics, how the hell have allofya been. I was sittin on my couch while pickin my nose and I heard a voice say, "ol'grayhead....ol'grayhead, where art thou". At first I thought I was dreamin' or havin' a flashback from my opium den days but the longer I listen and the more I focused in on the sound I realized it was Thump outside my window carrying a bag and pleading for me to come back. See, I've always been a sucker for the bum type, so I walked over to the window, lifted the curtain a little higher and slammed the window shut so that I wouldn't have to listen to the begging and longer. But my heart was heavy so I went downstairs and plugged into the site. I was just going to do a little peeking or lurking, as they say around here, and damn, Y'all done lost y'alls mind *lol*. First, I had to read through the beating of Halle (ABM, shame on you (LOL)). Then I had to endure the haten of The Known World. Damn, Y'all gonna have to put that S*&t down, that whatever it is you be smokin'. Then .....THEN I read ......wait, I have to catch my breath before I jump off on this. Anyway, I feel like, MOVE OVER, I am OUT OF RETIREMENT. Yukio, I know you hate to hear this but you're gonna have to deal with it . Chris, brush off your back because...... I got it! ABM, I know you missed me, lets do this my brother! Thump, stop all that grinin', it makes you look fat (lol), I love you to. Cynique, oh...I don't know if I can talk to you with your Platinum self *smile*. HI ALL, I missed the hell out of all of you. Hey, who is this Lampchop or LAMBDL guy? Carey Carey |

Cynique, if there's one thing I can do well it's run off at the mouth. But sometimes it's hard to talk with a foot in it and as you know I've been known to mis-speak a word or two. But, as you also know, I love a good discussion and if I slip and bust my lip.....well.....I ain't scared. I'm locked on good these days, life ain't too bad. I see you're still running the leadoff leg. Hello Linda, thanks for the holler. The last time I read something about you, you were in bad shape in that love triangle . How did Sisgal come out with that bank robber she was riding around? Hello Whistlingwomen, do I know you? Carey Carey |

Yukio See, there you go, droppin' a little salt on the game. Now who said anything about arguing. It would have been nice but certainally uncharacteristic if you would have surprised me and said something like: "Hi Carey, I missed you baby, I really did, lets catch up on lost time ***kisses*** . But noooo, ya came on the negative tip. But you know you are family and family members do get at it sometimes, but in the long run it only strengthens the love. Hi Yukio, I missed and love you too. Carey, From the looks of things, you came back right on time. It seems you’ve developed quite an admirer in the fiery Passion. But you’d better be careful with her...cause she seems like she may bite (which, though, isn’t necessarily a bad thing <<wink!>>). I hope that you've been regularly taking your vitamin E. Because with her you may need all the stamina that you can muster.

Sisq and ABM: not quite....i certainly didn't flirt or seduce folk as a woman. It is not my fault that some folk confused a male japanese name and non-sex/gender specific points of views with being a female...lol! Doesn't this demonstrate how presumptive and perhaps too confortable we can be in our beliefs about gender/sex? At any rate, a response is unnecessary... good day! MR. YUKIO: Yeah, but I remember one time when ABM was joking that you and I should do a twosome with him...or something about both us girls sticking around for a "muss'n" up...YOU went right along with it, admonishing me for being "jealous" and didn't back off when I suggested that you and I don't WEAR panties and could be more than old ABM could handle. That was the perfect time to reveal your sex, but you let us assume you were the light bony girl with glasses. Although, I admitt, I do recall you saying something like..."I"....might get a surprise. Which I thought was a lesbianesque taunt to turn on ABM. But still. You let us think you were a girl!

Passion:...are I recall the moment..but not the details. Nevertheless,if you reconsider what you allege that I have said, ie me not wearing panties makes sense and having a threesome...this really doen't tell my sex does it...It just says that I won't wear panties and that we would be getting it on... But if u have the time and desire, find the post...and we can see and if necessary I will apologize...nevertheless, my name and comments is what convinced folk long before this particular situation...so your relevation doesn't change my point. What is significant to me is not my sex, but the ideas we share, here.

No need to apologize, Yukio. In fact, I find you rather attractive, because you're both an intellectual and feminist MAN. We femininists need all the empathy we can get. Although, our vision (racially) is totally...and irrevocably... at odds. I'm assuming you're straight. I wrote a hello to you and complimented you on your intellect in my book released in April. Please love me and consider me your sister.

Passion: I'm a male feminist, like two intellectuals I respect: Manning Marable and Robin DG Kelley...both at Columbia UNiversity. It was from them that I learned it was ok to be a MAN and feminist...even DuBois was abit of a feminist, if one accepts Joy James' characterization of him. More importantly, I apologize! ...I was so busy cuttin and pasting and shifting from window to window so that I could find the info that I wasn't paying attention to new posts. There was no intent to hurt you. Someone recently mentioned that you complimented me in your book. Thank You and I will do the same once I'm published. Yukio, because I am 6'2...it's very hard for me to gage what height most other women are--especially since they wear high heels often. They're all so much shorter than me and being big-chested and small boned, I never can get "semantics" straight. I'm made like that cartoon character Jessica Rabbitt. I have a complex about my height and through therapy I learned techniques to keep me from noticing that everyone is staring at me. I don't remember if her shoes were making her taller. No, the perm is gone--did she really have a perm? You could get much more info by emailing Professor Stephen Elliott. Get his email from his web site. He's friendly and will give you all details you want on Z.Z.'s looks. Please don't mention me. He and I fell out. I think Z.Z. is beautiful, personally, in a West African sort of way. Not thin and exotic looking like me, but very sturdy, elegant and pretty. Love her eyes and voice. I always love Danticat's writing, although I feel that she is a male-identified writer. But she's really good. The new story collection "The Dewbreaker" was a little boring for me...and especially frightening because of the death threats that I live under. I had nightmares from it, but I liked the writing. Again, I don't particularly trust her (and your) view on race/blackness. I feel that you are tainted by outside influences and have not been fairly influenced by your original origin. Therefore, I feel you're much less objective than you think you are...and even a little bit Colonialist Progressive. That's my only qualm with Danticat, but I do like her. I prefer female-identified writers and really enjoyed reading "Straight No Chaser" by Jill Nelson last night. What a powerfully brave book!!! But increasingly...as I read other black women authors...I become despondent, because they're so very different than me. They court "respectability"...while I believe that a woman is supposed to have "sexual power" within the society. We have so many differences. I feel like a freak, although, people claim I'm eccentric and brilliant. I don't fit in anywhere, really. I prefer being mistaken for a whore instead of an intellectual...that way, my work sneaks up on people. I guess it's because I never went to school. Anyway, if you'd like, you could always email me--because I cannot post here too much, or sooner or later the Big Men (Troy and Thump) are going to come and chase me out. Troy will let me have my way, but THump hates me terribly and will raise until Troy is forced to choose. So I can't talk too much anymore. But go to the "Private Life" page of my site and get my email and drop me a line whenever you wish.

Lordy Lordy Lordy, now that's what am talkin' about, let it go, let the the natural flow happen. All of you give me reason to smile. I've been missing something in my life and I've found it in all of you! Chris wrote me and said it was a little slow up in here but that was yesterday. It's just like a party until the right song or people fall in, before the thang gets to bumpin'/jumpin' and people put down their guards and nose and the real fun begins. As bur rabbit said, "I was born and raised in the briar patch", so I harbor no fear of getting a little scratched up *smile*. It's all about fun. When it's all said and done it's all about punching that pleasure button. I have to admit that I was a little taken aback by the recent developement or should I say relevations of Yukio. You know I'm not soft or nothing like that but I felt a little violated......really. Although she/he may confess to not feeding into the disquise she/he did nothing to stop it. Hey, wait a minute, Linda probably knew all along what time it was too, remember she WAS the one on the floor up in Yukio's campus hideaway love-nest apartment (lol). Ya never know, ya never know. But hey, I ain't mad at Yukio one bit, like s.. he said, it should be about what's on her mind and not what's between his legs. Yukio, you're still in there with me MY BROTHA! As long as we didn't swap any spit or anythang like that we koo. AND let the records show that we DID NOT *LOL*. Hello Bayou/whistleing thanks for the holler...wait a minute.......he or she, lets lay this on the table ryite now . This is all too funny, I am liken it. Hi Sisgal, you know we've always had a bond, I have a place in my heart for you. So you put ol'boy down huh. Is this like play-play or the real deal? Passion, that name conjures up images of a succulent fruit, my lips are wet already. Hey, you don't have to beg or explain anythang, just the other day I told a friend that nothing motivate a person to pay attention to their baby any faster than someone else paying attention to their baby. So keep on doing what your doing and thangs will diffenitely work it's way out. Hi Crystal, what can I say baby, am reaching out like an octopus. Although I don't get my money off the dresser, my phone rings a few times and I AM open for suggestion . I wouldn't call myself "fine" like Passion has said but I've been known to make a women smile......a time or TWO. ABM, your my mentor brotha, keep on chirpin'! Hi Thump, what's up. Hello Troy, it's nice to see that you're still doing it! How's that growing family of yours. Lets see, it's about time for you to keep a shotgun by the door ain't it , or a stick or sumptin' to keep them wolves away. By Y'all, Y'all be good. Carey Carey

Carey: Let me apologize to you and others, as well as provide an explantion. As I stated, I'm interested in ideas not a person's sex. Also, this site does allow and anonymity, so I didn't think it was a big deal. So I apologize, again, for this interesting situation. Background: Maybe seven or eight years ago, I began to read feminist literature, and while it seemed plausible, I couldn't get into it because it seemed feminine. Eventually, I read men who I respected call themselves feminists and they showed me another perspective. Unfortunately, it took other men to get me to get it; that it was no threat to my masculinity. Under the belief that there are physiological differences(sex), some of which affect our behavior, I learned to believe as I still do, that our gender is something that has been socio-historically made through time, then custom, then fact, so that until recently, we accepted that men are suppose to be the breadwinner, though this issue is not quite resolved! A vice principal friend of mine complained to me about how she doesn't tell her men what she does until after a few dates because they are turned off by a woman who makes more money...now, as broke as I as, I'm tryin to get me a woman who mo money, mo money, mo money! Recent Present: At the beginning on AALBC, I would post and while folk would comment on my ideas, many were much more impressed my the fact that a woman(assuming that Yukio was a woman) could both write objectively and coherently. I didn't think what I said had anything to do with my sex, gender, etc...Yet, this method of spicing compliments to both one's ideas and sex continued. So, I continued to post, and folk continued to engage my ideas, and sometimes just address admiration for my socalled ability as a woman to debate... I consequently, decided to discuss, engage, and learn from all of you w/o declaring my sex because it was never relevant. Also, no one ever asked...I also wanted to see how folk read into my and others comments because of the assumption that one knew my sex...This was the most interesting, since sometimes folk wouldn't even address certain posts. Instead, they would assume that the substance of my post was solely attributable to my alleged sex. In addition, when I got the chance, I attempted to explain my ideas about gender/sex and demonstrate that we need to remake, and continue to engage, a better versions of male and female relations....this was mostly with ABM and a few with CHrisHayden, but it was meant, as all of my posts, for the all interested. Actually, Cynique caught me...I don't remember the thread, however. So I admit it. I aided and abetted the sex thing, but w/o intent to hurt...again, I still don't feel my sex has been relevant to most of my posts. I never stopped it, but what I learned and what we can begin to think about if one chooses is how we can often come to the table with so many assumptions that we can't often listen, learn, and talk to people...in this case, it was about sex/gender, but I'm sure this could/would occur if folk believed I was black when I was really white, etc... Passion: I will email you soon. I've only seen Packer's pic on the back of her book. Is she sturdy...nice! Tall women are beautifull...don't be self-conscious unless it is for the good. Please when you get a chance, explain these statements: Again, I don't particularly trust her (and your) view on race/blackness. I feel that you are tainted by outside influences and have not been fairly influenced by your original origin. Therefore, I feel you're much less objective than you think you are...and even a little bit Colonialist Progressive. That's my only qualm with Danticat, but I do like her. Email me at racerebels@hotmail.com Concerning your comments about respectability: This respectability contenance/ discourse many african americans unsuccessfully assert, is an ol response to whites who asserted black women were purely sexual inhumans, so many tried to demonstate their respectability through social and religious clubs to prove to themselves that they were civilized and to white folk...this is certainly the internalization of racism. My post is very general and not the end all or be all on this issue, of course. Many African Americans in general find it hard to embrace their full humanity and still maintain their blackness, ie..being a sexual being, intelligent, and respectable...this is why i love erykah badu...and those lips and eye...serious! If interested, see Victoria W. Wolcott's Remaking Respectability...And Kevin Gaines' Uplifting the Race. |

Hi Carey, I read some of your past posts and wondered what happened to you. you don't know me, but i hope that we may engage in some very enlightening exachanges here. 'Though you don't know me, please allow me to welcome you back too! PS: Are you and Thumper brothers? If you are, I hope you don't leap out of the cut, like he did.

Hello A_women Thanks so very much, I look forward to talking with you also. I havn't had time to read over many of the most recent posts but I intend to do so and in doing so I will see where you stand on many of the issues. One can learn so much about an individual just by reading the posts. That of course does not tell the whole story but it's a start. I find this to be a great place to practice being you. By that I mean a person who normally hesitant to speak their mind can cut loose up in here and experience the pain and joy of feedback without certain ramification, however many still are hesitant to express themselves and that's simply a shame. Thank you again for expressing your desire to chat with me, I' am honored. (LOL) No, Thump is not my brother, well we are brothers of the struggle but we share no blood. But I will share this with you, he's my guy, we've been doing this thang for sometime and I got his back so if someone want to share something negative about him they can keep it as far as I'm concerned. I didn't know that he had "cut" that's news to me! I will be taking the time to read your posts. If a side e-mail is warranted, we can do that too. Carey Carey |

Jmho, thank you too! I think you dropped in late last year didn't you? I think I remember some of your posts, but I just can't put a finger on them right now. Didn't you mix it up with ABM a time or two? Anyway thanks for the holla. Hey, to all, if it seems as if I am overly thrilled at the expressions of love you all have bestowed upon me it's because I truely am honored that you guy like my company, that you like me being around. My father told me that you don't poo-poo someones desire to be your friend or someone that wants to be in your company. I've truely come to believe that and try to practice a humble, honored and respectful approach and attitude to towards anyone that wants to share time, ideas/opinions and company with me. Lets face it, we are all desirable to others for a multitude of reason, ie.. looks, intelligence, voice, money, power, charm, speech and so forth, but when it's all said a done and some of those qualities begin to wane, when your skin begins to wrinkle or your money is gone and your power is no more, you can still be kind, honest, loving, compassionate, respectful and caring. So those that loved/loves you for who you are and not what you had or could do for them can continue to do just that, love the person that is truely you. I've been blessed in life and learned how to love from a wonderful person, my best friend and lover, my wife. She's no longer with me today but I try to carry forth the love she taught and shared with me. I made a statement yesterday that nothing propels a person to pay attention to their baby any faster than when someone other than yourself pays attention to them. If there is a God, he now is paying attention to my baby and I'm okay with that. I can still pay attention to her by practicing the love of others she so freely and willingly gave. I vividly remember something she told me in her last days, she told me not to sit around and die, not to sit around feeling sorry for myself. She told me to find someone to love and share my life with. She told me I was a good man and that someone needed me. She expressed to me her feeling of joy that I still loved her after all these years, that I still made her feel like she was 21, wanted and needed. I cried like a baby. The last weeks before she passed I had to bring her home from the hospital, I remember telling her that I didn't think I could do this because she needed so much care. She looked at me with the eyes of a concerned wife, mother and friend and said, "we'll do the best we can". I looked back at her and said, okay baby, lets go. Here's this women , unable to walk, unable to eat yet willing to trust that we could do this together, still concerned about me, willing to stand tall we me, while trying to sooth my fears. She had an unbealiable blind faith in her god and her man that things would be okay. Well, days went by with family and friend coming over to help out 24hours a day, some staying over taking time off from their jobs to help their friend Ann, through her last days. I can never be the person that Ann was yet I have memorys of an excellent role model. We started as two kids playing house many years ago that became parents at the age of 17. Through all my indiscretions she showed me how to love. Today I try to be like Ann, I try to give love expecting nothing in return, except maybe a smile and a Thank You. Someone asked me the other day that if I decided to share my life with another would I always be comparing them to Ann. I thought a minute and said no. But later on I thought how impossible that would be and unfair. So my only hope is that if it's meant for me to share the rest of my life with someone I wish that they have half the qualities of my baby, I miss her. Thanks for letting me share that, I didn't intend to go that way and I hope I didn't cross some sort of line. Times have been tough but today, today I am alright. Carey Carey |

Carey, What a beautiful story! I am glad you are doing better. One of my sisters passed away of cancer and we had to care for her as well. Your story made me think of her. One of the things that I remember most about her is how strong she was for us. She was so young to bear such suffering and I never knew she was so strong. The day the doctors told her that there was "nothing more they could do" she smiled and said "You were never in control of my destiny,I wasn't afraid when you told me I had cancer, and Im not afraid now." My sister was special and Im sure your Ann was too. Peace,

Hello All, MY OL' GRAYHEAD IS BACK!! Hey there Carey!! Man, I'm so glad that you're back!! *big smile* You were truly missed. You know, I was thinking about Miss Ann recently. I had just finished reading Glenville Lovell new novel, Love and Death in Brooklyn. When I wrote the post about the book, I had asked you to tell Miss Ann to get this book. Then I remembered and erased the question. I miss Miss Ann greatly. She was one of the few people who I could disagree with and still respect her opinion, looked forward to hearing what she had to say. For those of you who don't know Carey and Miss Ann has been visiting this site for almmost as long as we have been in existence. Carey and Miss Ann is family, as far as I'm concern. Also, to the newbies, Miss Ann rarely if ever saw eye to eye with me over a book. That one time a few years ago, we had the same opinion on three books, each read in a row. Whenever I finished reading a book, Miss Ann was one of the few people who I couldn't wait to see what she thought of it. She was also one of the few people who read books faster than I did. I'm still missing her. But, Carey, I'm so glad you're back. As I knew you would be. *eyebrow raised* And just in time too! Nichelle is about to drop the next Maceo Redfield novel. Nichelle is going to join us for an on-line chat. You might as well get ready to take up for your boy Daddy Al. You know he's foul! But, I'll save my opinion of him for the chat. *big smile*

Carey, Heyyyy, and ditto for me! What a beautiful message that brought tears to my eyes! As for me, sometimes fantasy imitates reality...even when you least expect it. You still have the same email, I've got a funny story to tell you offline about our bond, yours, mine and Miss Ann. Hey Passion - read that your new novel will be out May 18th, and read the review of it...looks like an interesting read. I pre-ordered my copy yesterday! |

Carey, It's good to see the love that everyone has given you on your return. I must say that this just might be one of the few times that I have read that everyone is in agreement (smile). I'm new and although I can't express the same sentiment as those who have corresponded with for years simply for that reason, I would like to say it's good to see that you are over coming the blow that life dealt you and thank you for encouraging us to do the same. We all know what it's like to lose someone we love, and by you sharing you experience with us, made me reflect on the ones that I've recently lost and the love I had for them. It's a beautiful thing when you can reflect back on someone and what most stands out about that person is the love that freely gave. It don't happen often, but when it does it's something a person can never forget. May God bless you and keep you strong. |

Thank you all so very much. Thump, thanks man, I know Ann is smiling somewhere probably reading a book. Remember this: Thump, Ann said ..... and, Carey, tell Miss Ann...... As you know she truely didn't want her views repeated and simply loved to read. Remember the time we were discussing your work load and how maybe she could help out by reading some of the books. I remember you saying something like you would check with the boss (Troy) and see if she might be able to join the staff. I laughed when her reply was. "wait a minute, I don't want a job, I just want to read some free books ". Man, you two were something else. I got a little jealous of you, she was always asking me what you had said about this and that. As I told you manyy times, I felt like an underpaid secretary. Anyway thanks for the kind words and stay away from them neckbones and peach cobbler. Oh Y'all, that's another story, we can go on and on but I don't want to bore you guys any longer. Stay up Thump. Sisgal and others, my e-mail address is darn1719@mchsi.com Feel free to write any time Boy, those where the days. So Ms. Tramble is stopping by huh, I can't wait. Come to think about it, she owes me a book .....I think . Please Thump, no tricks this time. No mysterious lightening strikes or phone interference, okay *smile*? My schedule is funny, I hope I can make it, when is it?

To A_womon I am happy to say that I've taken the time to read many of your post and am I glad you've taken the time to stop by. Before I continue I want to tell you never ever, never ever, let the views of others, no matter how disrepectful and "ganging" they appear to be run you off this site or cause you to question you point of view. I mean of course one should consider others pov but just because the majority are speaking the same ol' same ol' does not mean you are wrong. It is very difficult to tell you what I think about all of your posts/pov's via this medium but I agreed with you on many of the subject matters. I was saddened to see you write that you were about to leave this site because of a few negative replies. Let me tell you something, we all have felt this way, from Cynique to Yukio, and even myself. Hell, Thump even considered leaving and it's his house . In fact many have left over the years and yet many have also arrived and come back. A strong opinionated person as yourself is ALWAYS going to draw fire. The challenge you face is can you stand the heat. Also you must be aware that if you voice an opinion you have to come correct with knowledge and facts. If that's all in place, hey you're cool, stand on it. I don't know if you know this but one of the individuals that supported your views is someone to be respected. Kathleen Cross is one to the finest and real individuals you are going to find on this site, I consider her a very good friend. She helped me through my times of trouble without even really knowing me at the time. She respectfully and with class asked if she could offer wome words of incouragement and I accepted and I am a better man for doing so. So, the gang around here can be a little clanish but they mean no harm, they just like to get peoples goat sometimes. If we get silly or ignorant you might just have to come out of your angry wild black negro bag on us but it's all kool. By the way, one of the issues of debate in which I read was the value and/or reasoning behind HIP HOP literature. I'm walking hand in hand with you on many of the them. Where you come from is VERY relitive. Many people talk that thang but have only visited the real scene even though they may have "lived" there. Don't tell me nothing about what I can or cannot do until you've lived in fear, not only from the outside community but within your own house. Don't tell me how minimal a part the lack of food play in ones development until you've gone days, DAYS without it. Hold up talking about the psycological problems one should or should not have until you've been laughed at for years by others because of you families lack of certain social values. What does those that have not experienced depression know about it, it's causes and problems, having never been down that street before. People talk that thang A-womon but as you know ......it's simply talk, it's simply talk to sometimes impress others and to sometimes convince themselves. Having said all of that, I didn't agree with everything you said but I like the mind behind the words. Thanks again. And lets not forget, these are simply my opinions! I ain't scard . Carey Carey Again Kathleen said it best (she usually does), each book should be taken on it's own merit or lack there of. This medium is hard to negotiate and some of the old grizzlies around do a very good job of throwing people off their spot, hell, they've become experts at it. My father used to say never play a man at his own game, well until you've been around her awhile don't worry about the small stuff. I have a quote that I like to post every know and then, here it goes: Many people fear nothing more terrible than to take a stand that stands out sharply and clearly from the prevailing opinion. The tendency of most is to adopt a view the is so ambigious that it will include everything and so popular that is will include everyone. A_womon ( I wish you had a name), don't be scared and don't be run off. We need individuals with different viewpoint than our own. If we all were the same that would be akin to incest, we'd be f*%^ing ourselves. Thanks for sharing your opinions with us and inviting me to read your postings. Carey Carey |

Carey, I'm SMILING!!!!!! YEW KNOOOOOOOW! First of all let me thank you for taking time out of your busy day to read my posts, it is greatly appreciated! No matter what anyone else says to the contrary, we all love want and need validation. I respect that you don't agree with everything I said, I think I would have been disappointed if you had. But having said that, I am overjoyed that you share my view on many points. I understand that this may not always be the case though, but that's cool too, because what I want to take away from my time here, however long it may be, is a broadened view on many topics. And that is on the real. I appreciate honesty, in all its forms, though I aint going to lie, standing alone on your opinions can be taxing at times. But don't worry, I'm just gettin started! I am going to email you real soon, so you will have my name, but Im not ready to come out with it on this board. I have some things to share with you and get your input if you don't mind. I said it once and I'll say it again, I'm loving this spot and Im claiming it for real. And trust and believe I ain't one to run. You know, Yukio asked me the same thing you did, if I can stand the heat. My answer to you both is Im still here.

Hello All, Carey: Nichelle will be here in September. The Last King will be the CWMYB August selection. I can't remember the date off hand, but I'll post it when I find it. Man, I ain't had a neckbone in a while. Now you got my mouth watering. My grandmother use to barbeque her neckbones. Now that was some good eating. Peach cobbler? Shoot, that's why the good Lord made Splenda possible. On the health tip, everything is still so very good. I still don't have to take insulin, blood sugar STAYS in the normal range. Everything is wonderful. A_womon: See why I love my ol' Grayhead? He's cool like that. But, don't let the green grass fool ya. I've seen him come out of pocket a few times too. We all have. I suppose us regulars have got our skills honed to a razor sharp edge. You'll learn, but like Carey said, you have to be able to back whatever you say up. Bring your A game and make sure your slip ain't showing. It was too showing. What I don't understand is how did I get such a reputation? When all of the old ones know the person that caused the biggest uproar on the discussion board, who was cutting folks left and right, who went for the juggular at every turn was none other than our own CYNIQUE! The Cynique you see now is a kitten compare to the one that blew on the discussion board years ago. She's been nice here lately. *whispering* I don't know what's up with that. That spanking that ABM gave Yukio in The Known World thread (sorry Yukio, but ABM gotcha) is nothing compare to the old Cynique. Don't believe me? Go back, a couple of years, through the discussion board archives. All this to say, you don't have to leave, but your game do have to be tight. |

Thumper: If gettin me to respond as he does, then he did spankin...but since I chose to take that role and illustrate his error, as I did, I'll have to respectfully disagree. More substantive I think, is the fact that i pinpointed his selective illiteracy and error and he denied both, and if you read the thread and my recent post it is undenial. So again, I respectfully disagree, perhaps in my verbosity it wasn't clear. But, your opinion is your opinion... cheers yukio |
