Just Write, I believe part of the popularity of many boards like AALBC - is that it allows you total freedom of expression. You're anonymous, so no restraints - and no worry that you will boo'd at your next booksigning. No threat of soup being tossed in your lap at the next big editorial meeting --- just no worries! (but that's just my opinion) Great website and good luck! |

Bimsha, if you peruse the message board you'll see one that Thumper recommends under the post: "I finished Love and Death in Brooklyn" dated 05-02-2004. (Hope I'm not speaking out of turn here, Thumper--smile. But they are quite a few that I can recommend. What is your fancy? |

Hello everyone, I'm a 24 y/o mixed female from Jersey currently residing in Boston. It's been awhile since I have been reading a lot, but with a new job & nothing to do, I find myself reading more than ever. I recently finished "True to the Game" and "Stop the Music." |

I could definately see it being a movie. I couldn't put the book down, it was such a page turner. I wish it would have continued. I recommended it to all of my girlfriends, and one of them said they couldn't put it down either. I love books that are like that. I was like that with Addicted What books are you currently reading? Have you read Bad Girlz yet? It's another one based in Philly. |

I will write those down on my "to read" list!! Have you read For the love of Money? It was pt 2 to Flyy Girl. Omar Tyree is one of my favorite authors! Although, I heard there were 1/2 books of his that didn't get so good reviews by readers. I can't remember what they are though. |
