Thumper, I sent you an email this morning concerning this. It is sad beyond expression about the news of his cancer. He has been battling this for a while. This is one of those times that mourning does not seem to be enough... Rondall |

I am really saddened by this news. I had the opportunity of meeting Mr. Wilson last December at a reading at Bryn Mawr College. He was great! What a gentleman! I even have a picture with him and a signed copy of Fences and Seven Guitars. |

How awful. Such a brilliant man. At least he has had time to contemplate his mortality and prepare for his death. There's just as much to be said as to how a man dies as there is to how a man lives, and August Wilson has exhibited uncommon grace in accepting his terminal illness. Godspeed to him. |
