First I gotta make a kinda retraction [I hate that!]. In an earlier post I called ole boy in this book stupid. I shouldn’t have. Well, at least not so harshly.
Anyway, this is one of my favorites so far this year. It’s a fun supernatural read that's not too scary [except for those damn cats] and it has something for everybody. There’s romance [of course], sex [of course], a straight-up crazy woman, shooting and stabbing, friendship, danger and heroism. And in the middle of all that he has an absentee dad/son story line and throws in a little jealous mother/daughter stuff too, although I thought the father’s explanation for the estrangement was pretty weak – but I guess it happens.
I’d love to hear what other’s think of it.
