Finally I've gathered the people and resources required to be able to sell new and popular, books at very competitive if not the best prices available on-line or in a bricks and mortar store. It is also worth noting that most of the titles I'm selling directly via AALBC.com are the product of Black owned businesses -- Black authors, editors, publishers, distributors, and a Black owned on-line store (even one of the book's titles is "Black" You can't get Blacker than this (well maybe a black printer and courier service would close the loop). I say this is worth noting because for years I received many complaints from people both prominent and obscure, who did not like me using the Amazon or B&N affiliate programs. I was accused of selling out to the man and even contributing to the demised of Black owned, independent, book stores. Over the past couple of years that sentiment has waned as increased internet experience led to more rational thought... but I digress. I was always interested in developing or contributing to a completely independent processes for different aspects of this business including sales, reviews, and promotion that was profitable and competitive in terms of service and price. This is another step for AALBC.com in that direction. I hope the support (read: book purchases) will reward and validate the rationale for the effort. Please visit http://books.aalbc.com/popular_urban.htm to obtain 30% off many best selling AALBC.com titles. I working on some literary titles now. Peace, Troy
