Hey Linda, I'm home. I've been too busy on the writing efforts to do much reading lately. But I'll be reviewing non-fiction titles beginning in March. My latest writing project has been working on a weekly blog titled "Countdown...365 Days to a Book Deal." It's a blog with the spirit of Reality TV. Check it out when you get a chance at www.bloglines.com/blog/emanuelcarpenter/. BTW, Welcome back Thumper. How's the effort going on getting those paid for reviews?

Just post something controversial or stimulating (within the bounds of the House rules, of course) and you'll see them come running |

Hey Emanuel Good to see you are still doing your thang. I have been pretty busy myself (even though I was supposed to be resting) finishing up my next novel. It's a true story that happened in Mound Bayou, Mississippi in 1965, that will most definitely get me in a lot of hot water. Racial issues can be touchy as I learned with my first release, Althea. But, what the heck. I'm going for the gusto. Your blogging project is interesting, so I will be sure to keep up with your 365 day countdown. I know it will be filled with comedy as the writing arena is sometimes like a three ring circus. Hi Chris. You are so right. Let me see . . . stimulating . . . hmmm. Nope, nothing there. How about you tell us how your book signing went or did I miss that post already? |

Thanks Thumper. I figured it would. There is a lot of demand for book reviews, and the self-publishing industry is growing by leaps and bounds. |

Amitenejah What exactly did I reopen? What was healing or who? Help a Sister out...what did I say that caused such a response? |

Linda: [taking deeep breath] welllllll, I’m no guru, detective, or phychologist or anything, (and I don't frequent the site like many others) but it seems like Chris was trying to ‘move on (and away)’ from 'that other thread’, especially since he has posted in other threads yet has not posted since in that thread he originated. As for my ‘healing’ and ‘reopen’ statements; if the signing was not up to his expectation then he may have felt badly (injured) by the event, as such not desirous to revisit the experience in anyway for a time (healing). So, when you brought it up again (reopen injury), did so most directly (salt in wound), and in a thread not related to his original thread (which he may be ignoring), I just felt like saying OOOOOOOUCH. Then again he could have signed 4000 books and just doesn’t want to brag about it, wha-da-ya-dink?

Well, excuse me for not knowing of his troubles, (if this is the reason) Like I said I must have by-passed the post or not read it. But, hey if that is the case he should just shake it off like the rest of us and move on to the next event. It ain't that serious. It happens. No need to sulk about it. |
