If you like Dilbert, Undercover Brother, and Office Space, you will love this new book by Emanuel Carpenter called "A Job Ain't Nothing But Work." Carpenter seems to roll them all up in one. The result is a very funny, raw, and original book. Christina Kiplinger-Johns of the Midwest Book Review calls it "loud and hysterically funny." Check out the author's website at

There was a book on the adventures of a black man in Corporate America called Company Man a few years back.

I remember that book. It's by Brent Wade from around 1960. Thanks for the post on A Job Ain't Nothing But Work. I checked out the website you posted. It looks funny. I just ordered a copy.

I read about that corporate negro book on Africana.com and Tom Joyner's web site. I hear that it's pretty funny. I might have to check that one out.
