I’m starting an index of all African American authors and other authors of importance to the African-American community. Admittedly, this is a tremendous and potentially never ending task. However, I think this will be a very useful resource. Currently, the author’s name links to the books that they have available for purchase. In the future, additional basic information like genre, homepage, contact information, etc, will be included.

Currently over 700 authors are listed. Of course I’m missing many, many names. I can use your help in identifying the authors I have not captured on this list. Please using the email link here http://aalbc.com/authors/more_authors.htm#Please to send me the names of any authors who should be added to the list (please make sure the author is not already recorded). Authors should be published with a book in print. Of course, self-published authors are more than welcome as long as they meet the book in print requirement.

Thanks for the kind words -- that really means a lot Unfortunately, my situation is such that I can:
(A) Have a life
Enjoy my family, exercise, hangout
(B) Maintain my web sites
(C) Enjoy this discussion baord and otherwise read for pleasure.
Of A, B & C I can only really do two of the three at any given time. This weekend, my kids were busy, so I decided to choose B & C.
