Hello All, As you all know, I loved Lion's Blood by Steven Barnes. I never thought of it having a sequel to it. I didn't mind it having a sequel. But, how could Barnes improve on a book as deliciously exceptional as Lion's Blood. Well, he did with Zulu Heart. I enjoyed it more than I did Lion's Blood. Barnes created a wonderfully brutal, painful, and beautiful world in the first book, which only grows more complex and dimensional in Zulu Heart. It took me a while to get through Zulu Heart, its a BAB. But, it was a BAB that I didn't want to end. It's one of the best books that I've read all years!! I have to give much kudos and props to Steven Barnes. Zulu Heart will stand as one of his crowning achievements. |

Hello Thumper, I have been putting off reading Lion's Blood for a while now. I have a copy of it but other stuff just seems to pop up that I need/want to read. But, I will move Lion's Blood high up on my list as I've heard nothing but great things about it. I've read some of Steven Barnes other books (Iron Shadows and Blood Brothers) but Lion's Blood and Zulu Heart sound like winners from everything anyone's ever said about either of them. |

Lion's Blood is very captivating. It's not normally the kind of book that I'd read. I've been reading it a chapter at a time. Nice, Nice. |
