Kola! I only heard about you winning the Student Reader's Award at Howard University for "Favorite Woman of 2002" this weekend while they were talking about you on X-100 radio this morning. Since they actually anounced you in January, my post is belated. The only link I could find was from one of the school web site itself. Congratulations Kola. You're one of my faves too! http://www.geocities.com/district_edu/howarduniversity.html

Daniecia, Although I appreciate what you were trying to do--PLEASE don't post things about me that draw attention to myself (ie. my career, books, publicity events). Most others here are not writers or in the business, and therefore, they feel that they're being advertised TO rather than having info shared with them. This results in their many varieties of resentments towards me. Trust me...I am the one author that NO ONE on this board wants to discuss as "an author". But I feel your love--trust me--and there' no need to be promotional. My angels will prevail against petty jealousy and "smallness". Time is on my side, sister. tima usrah, my love.

Kola: I for one am glad to see such good things posted about you--after all, people have felt free to post negative things. You already have a page at this site so it's a little late to not have anything posted. Loosen up and enjoy the good stuff when it comes. |
