Hey Guys, Brandon Massey's "Thunderland" has been re-released by Kensington and is due in bookstores and online now. I read the self-published version and it was very good! The published version promises to be even better and I just love the cover. Brandon's writing reminds me of Dean Koontz, suspense, supernatural but with African-American characters. This writer has promising future and I look forward to this release and any other future releases. Check it out!!!! |

I just finished reading Thunderland and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it. It has a lot interesting plot twists and involved many well developed characters. Brandon Massey has a promising future in writing. I'm encouraged to read his short stories that are available at his website: Brandonmassey.com |

I finished Thunderland today and almost beat hubby up because he wouldn't get offline so I could get on and tell Brandon how good it was. <grin> It was very well-written and though it normally doesn't take me so long to read a book I like, I enjoyed mostly all of it...even the ending which I will admit I don't like with a lot of books. (I think I was scared to read too fast or too much at night.) ROFL. The pace was excellent...and Sharon, I do agree that the characters were well developed. This is a book that I'd love to see in movie form, it was so very descriptive! If I had to have one issue about the book, it would be that the boys seemed to be too mature for their age...too articulate...too smart. Other than that, it gets my stamp of approval and I'm looking forward to the next one. -Tee
