Hello All, Yep, that time of the year has arrived. I'm going on my month long Winter Wonderland reading vacation. I got 'em all lined up, the Harry Potter books (my niece loves these books, so I'm going to find out what all the fuss is about), Drieser, Hemingway, and my boys F. Scott and Faulkner is on the roll. Feeling ambitious this year I might eve given Proust and Shakespeare some of my time. Anyway, I'll be checking in. *big smile* |

Good Reading to you, Thumper. If you get around to it, you will discover that the prose of Proust is really an exercise in concentration. Some of his sentences are a page long, but those who stick with him claim it's worth the effort, if for no other reason than to be beguiled by the depth and clarity of a word magician. |

Hello Cynique, Thanks. Proust has been my Mt. Everest for a while now. It's time to conquer the beast. |
