Loved to meet everybody. Might I suggest Reign, a soul-food restaurant. Nice atmosphere, nice music. It was Keyshawn Johnson's restaurant until last fall when he sold it. I LOVED living in Los Angeles the six years that I was there and I still miss it...have lots of college buds and sorors out there who I'm going to try and catch up with during my brief time there. Tried to get my hubby to come along and bring the kids out and then we leave from Los Angeles and go to Hawaii but NO they want to do a cruise so we will be going to bermuda in July...so in the meantime I plan to have a great time minus kids and hubby...;)   yasmin Rating: N/A Votes: 0 (Vote!) Posted on Monday, May 12, 2003 - 10:57 pm:        PS...Bayou a good event to attend and collect new/future releases signed by some of your favorite authors is the BlackBoard Reception held by Faye Childs on the Saturday of the event. I don't believe an invitation is necessary for that event and there's no charge...however, I'm not sure the turn out for Los Angeles will be as good as the turnout in New York City last year...I think I walked back to the hotel with at least 30 books last year. One good thing about going to the conference last year was that I was able to secure copies of books that didn't come out until the fall and while everyone else was looking for them and wanting to read them...I had them and was reading them...and I also shared a lot of them with the APOOO Family so I made a lot of folks happy.
