I posted something on this author, John Faucette, above. I noted that he had died and directed you to a website featuring cover art from his books. This site features excerpts and information on his final work, Black Science Fiction (to hard, raunchy, etc to be accepted by science ficton magazines). Of particular interest is his biography--I didn't know that he was writing at the same time as Samuel R. Delany. The writing is pulp like, but he was a pulp fiction writer. http://www.angelfire.com/scifi/johnfaucette3/toc.html

I've read that book. It is EXCELLENT. John will truly be missed. I recommend his work to anyone who was to read a long list of compelling short stories. Cecil http://www.cecilwashington.com |

I'll have to check him out! I love sci-fi! And Cecil, I heard your book is WONDERFUL as well, so I'll definitely have to check it out. (On a side note, please email me at tee@rawsistaz.com). Another recent black sci-fi book that recently came out is SexLife by a.a. Clifford (Gary Hardwick). I haven't read his previous books which are thrillers I believe, but I really enjoyed SexLife and the whole pretense behind it. Had me believing that our world could one day model what he depicted. -Tee |
