Carey, I'm moving this here in hopes to keep the thoughts of the thread clear. Carey said: Okay, lets hear how felt about Oprah's The Wedding. Maybe we should ask others to give their opinion first. Sisgal, Chris, Crystal, Tee, Sharon, Cynique, T -bone akaivyleaf and others what did you guys think of The Wedding? Hey hey hey Carey!! I see you're calling folks out huh? Well, I'm here, but totally useless. LOL. I didnt' see the movie, but I didn't care for the book. I think I rated it a 2 (out of 5). I can't even remember enough of it to tell you why I didn't like it... I'll have to look for the movie...maybe. <wink> -Tee |

Well Carey, I didn't read the book, and only caught a bit of the movie, so I have no opinion as yet...but tell me what did you think of Oprah in "The Women of Brewster Place"? See ya! |

I have not read the book. I did see the movie and was deeply disappointed. Charles Burnett is one of the best directors out there but this showed none of his spark, originality, poetry, intelligence or wit. Don't know if it was because of a lack of interest in the material or producer interference, but it just did not work. |
