This discusion board is currently being tested -- but feel free to give it a try.
We've gone an upgraded the software -- which will take some getting used to. However it should be mre robust and offer some additional features not available with our previous software.

Well it's about time, I declare. Hello troy and Thump how have you been. I've seen these types of boards before and .....well I'll just see what others think. I will say it takes a little getting used to.

Hello everyone. Good to see some familiar names coming across the board and adjusting to the new transition. Since we've been gone Thumper and I had the opportunity to attend a book signing for Jewel Parker Rhodes here in Inianapolis for her newest novel, "Douglass' Women." Needless to say, she was awesome and her reading of excerpts from the novel superb. I have also just finished reading one of our own's debut novel..."Along the Way." Look for the review to be posted soon. |

Thought you could hide from me huh? Well it didn't work! I thought maybe Thumper kicked me off cause I don't like his boy EJD - lol!
Anyway, glad to see all your fonts! Haven't read anything exciting lately. Tried a couple of folks I hadn't read before [Omar Tyree/Leslie and Connie Briscoe/P.G. County] and I don't think I'll spend any more time on either of them. Maybe I'll try one of those classics Thumper and Brian are going on about.

Thanks Troy, I think I have it. For those who might be wondering what we are doing, let me try to explain. One of the differences between this board and the last set up is that a reply to a particular post was much easier in the old format. All you had to do was click on that post and simply post a reply by clicking on reply and your response would appear directly under the post that you were replying to. In this format, it's a little more difficult unless your reply is submitted shortly after the post in which you are replying to. The posts are applied to the board in the chronological order in which they are submitted. Therefore you couldn't reply to someones post that hit the board 2 days ago (if others had posted before you) unless you referred to that post in in your reply.
During the shutdown, Troy and I had a conversation about this, hence his post explaining how I could creat a link to a certain post.
So, all I have to do is right click the last icon above the name of the post I wish to respond to and then hit copy the shortcut. Then in the text of my message I simple paste it and a link is create to that post. This tecnic is not as clear and easy as the last format but at least a reply to a post that was written lets say a week ago, can at least be replied to(linked to) without too much confussion, .....I Think *smile*.
I am curious, did anyone else see this as a problem?
