This is a great article about a self-published author and the state of the book business. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1873122,00.html http://DTPollard.com |

Dap Pollard, This article was great! And guess what? I actually read your book "RoofTop Diva"----and really liked it! I'm the one who sliced you over the cover, remember? When I come to Texas (Davis outside Dallas has a huge Sudanese refugee camp where I work)...I will get you to sign it, King. Btw, My short story collection from 2002 "Long Train to the Redeeming Sin" has taken on a whole new life as a KINDLE book: http://www.amazon.com/LONG-TRAIN-REDEEMING-SIN-Stories/dp/B001OQCL38/ref=pd_bbs_ sr_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1232935942&sr=8-5 Who are these people who own $400 KINDLES and read on them????? I don't own one. My autobiography has been selling even stronger. . |

Yeah, I remember the cover beef. By the way, this is the cover Recorded Books put on the audio version. Thanks for reading my book. FYI for everyone, next weekend the nationwide African American Read-In kicks off for Black History month. The Dallas event is the largest in the country and fills up the Majestic Theatre in downtown. It is aimed at children and I will participate again for the third year in a pre-show segment. This is a link to the Read-In website: http://www.readin.dcccd.edu/index.html www.DTPollard.com |
