Hello All,
The novel Push by Sapphire, which was published many years ago is now a movie. The movie is being premiered at Sundance with Mariah Carey in a supporting role. Damn I loved that BOOK! In case a few of you have forgotten, Push is about 16 year old Precious who was sexual abused by her father, had two kids by him and was physically abused by her triflin ass mama. Precious was also illiterate until she got with a counselor and turned her life around. The book is awesome! I only hope that the movie is half as good. Oh, yeah. I heard about that. I hope to see it. I stayed up until sunrise and read that book in one night. |

Well, it seems that Push: the movie, should be destined to be a major indy hit. It won the Sundance Film Festival top drama prize, and a few other awards at the festival. Here's the link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/01/25/sundance-top-honors-go-to_n_160659.html
