Hello All,

Although, I have not been in the market for ebooks, I guess now is the time to hop on that train. Random House is about to release a lot of their books as eBooks, http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2008-11-24-digital-random-house_N.htm?csp=34.

With the way the economy is and everyone's money being damn funny, eBooks are less inexpensive that its paper counterpart. True, cheaper still is the library, but the convience of downloading a book and not dealing with the traffic, parking it takes to go to the library could be attractive to some, not me cause I love being surrounded by books. Even I have been eyeballing Amazon's Kindle. It looks kind of snazzy, but that price *eyebrow raised* is damn high for something that does only one thing, even my X-Box360 can play DVDs. But, I guess its time for me to get my butt off my back, suck it up, and hop on the electronic bandwagon.

Thumper, eBooks have become extremely popular and I will admit to being surprised. I confess that I have an Amazon Kindle but I purchased it more so because I can email myself manuscripts to read. It makes my life so much easier to read submissions from aspiring writers and sent by agents instead of lugging around huge paper mauscripts.

Did you know that the Harlem Book Fair has started a publishing company, HBF Publishers?

Blessings,
Zane

If you've purchased an Amazon Kindle ebook reader, you might be interested in my novel, Braver Deeds, about a "Buffalo Soldier" in the 1890s. Braver Deeds is currently available from Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00104JF7O for only $1.59. More information, including a free sample chapter, is available at http://braverdeeds.com.
