Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has agreed to a three-book deal with Crown Publishers, starting with a memoir about her years in the administration of President George W. Bush. "Rice will combine candid narrative and acute analysis to tell the story of her time in the White House and as America's top diplomat, and her role in protecting American security and shaping foreign policy during the extraordinary period from 2001-2009," according to a statement issued Sunday by Crown, a division of Random House Inc. Crown also published then-Sen. Barack Obama's "The Audacity of Hope." Full article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29333317/?GT1=43001 |

Don't look for any stunning revelations. She is very loyal to the Bush Klan. Admirable, in a way. I belted her and flayed her but she is very intelligent and has good sense except for that Blind Spot for the Bushes. She ought to get some money out of it for her pain and suffering. I won't wait to read the book, though. Plenty of others telling us what we should know already. |

You're likely right, Chris, about the lack of any stunning revelations. I'll still probably end up reading the memoir, though. I find her to be a fascinating figure. |
