I'm 50 years old and both of my parents and four of my 9 siblings have gone to the great beyond. I don't think that any of them would have imagined this moment until it actually happened. I started my education in a seperate segregated school in Texas for my first two years. I went to a seperate segregated city park until it was closed. I didn't feel comfortable going to the other park for years.
American is now finally calling upon ALL of its best and brightest to help in a dire situation. I feel a little sense of regret that we had to go so low and dire in our country's circumstances for us to give an obviously well educated, eloquent and inspiring man a chance despite his skin tone. We will all be totally engaged as a country to help us get back where we need to be. For so long many of us felt lke spectators or passengers while only a select few were allowed to drive, in turn when we went in the ditch, we waited for the driver to get us out. Now we all realize we can drive also, so lets get this car out of the ditch together.
