(This poem will appear in the spring 2006 anthology "Timepieces" published by JMW publishing company. Twenty-Five University's nationwide will have a copy. If you like my poem please support it. Thank You.) Sing To The Nation Sing to the nation a new song Let it be a song of conquered peace Let it be a song of sinister release Let it be free Sing to the nation a new song A song that can be enjoyed by all Where the small are treated like the tall And where the walls that divide fall Sing to the nation a new song Let the wrongs be made right And in a country where death abounds Let there be life Song to the nation a new song A song that’s yours and mine An anthem of the people That resounds until we’re all Considered equal Let the nation sing a new song By Robin Morris |
