Mr. Simpson's sentence is BS! Come on, all those years for THAT! Now that's a real crime. The beat goes on. A white man can kill someone and get 25 yrs but not Mr. Simpson. He tells a bunch of thieve to stand still and he gets damn near life. That's Bull S*it. It's not about right or wrong in his last case, it's about a black man getting the shaft. Every black person in America should be up in arms. Think about it now. The man's only crime is going to a hotel and telling everyone not to leave -- that's it! Mr fat boy Govenor Ryan (a white man) gave out fake trucker's licenses that lead to the death of 6 individuals, including children. He only got 6 years AND might soon get out. Where's the justice!? Any black person that thinks this is justice is looking through the eyes of white folk ....with a noose in their hands. |

Come on, Carey. You know what this is about.
Anybody else in the WORLD would have gotten probation.
This is about that white woman. They even set it up so a white woman gave him the sentence. Obamas first act should be to pardon him--but he don't deserve it. He would just get in trouble again because the man is ignorant and he got white woman itis (I saw a news report weeks before this happened that showed him in Vegas, posing with a bevy of blond beauties.
They'll probably have him bumped off in the joint--
Oh well. This is a lesson for all those who will be saved.

I know, Chris. I just had to get that out of me.
What got me was the white judge's statements prior to his sentencing. She said, "This is not about ..blah blah blah. If it wasn't about blah "he killed a white women"...blah blah "he killed a white man"...blah blah blah "he's a nigg*" blah blah blah blah "we got your black ass now". Then why even say it.
It might not be over. I remember his Hertz commercials and I've seen Prison Break. |

Hello,
My Ol' Grayhead: Please take it down a bit. OJ is getting his just desert. Yep, I said it. Now, true enough, the crime that he was convicted for, he's guilty as hell, but if it was anyone else his sentence would not have been severe. Seeing that its OJ, his sentence was damn near perfect.
First off, let's keep in mind that OJ considers himself a white man. Because, in the good ol' United States of America, who gets away with murder with relative ease...white men! Let me rephrase that RICH white men! Now, OJ had considered himself white for a good long while now. He only hung with black men with money...who believe that they were white men too. A black woman, he had no time for at all, he wouldn't even employ one as his maid. All this to say that he had willing, enthusiastically divorced himself from the black race and I say good bye, good riddance and kiss my black ass.
Second, now you know even DumbDumb Bush knows that OJ killed those people. When he got a way with it, if he was a smart decent thinking black man, he would have, should have, hung low...real low, because he should have known that if he jaywalked the arm of the law was going to come down on him. Not your boy OJ, because, he's a white man now, so he's going to keep doing what he's always done, go golfing, entertainin folks, still beating up his white girlfriends. He kept getting dragged into court and kept getting off. So now, OJ's belief that he's a white man is pretty much set in stone now.
Third, what does your boy OJ do, he, in his small addle, pea rattling brain, has the AUDACITY to write a book about the murders he got away with and title it, IF I DID IT! How stupid was that? I mean really, that's nerves and stupidity rolled up into one! But, he still got away with it, got that million dollar book advance and kept rolling. Now, any common sense thinking person would have said, let me go lie low somewhere and get some of this heat off of me...uh huh, not your boy OJ.
I said it here once, and I'll say it again...it's like my daddy use to say, "the sun got to shine on a dog's tail one day", and now the sun is blistering OJ's ass to death now. Whether the guy stole his stuff or not, I don't know, because mainly, I don't trust a lot of white men like OJ. Instead of going to court and suing to get his stuff back, what does your boy do, he goes and gets a group of your nephews and cousins, who he ordinarily wouldn't have hung out with in the first place, and get them to be his gang to get his stuff back. And the idiot does it on TAPE! Video and audio recordings of the dastardly deed...like I said, he ain't the brightest bulb in the chandelier, is he?
Look, like that line in that old Millie Jackson song say, "Even a dog will get tired of you doing it wrong. It won't even come to you if you offered him its favorite bone." And the real white folks had had enough of OJ getting away with sh_t. So now, he's getting the time for all of the stuff, starting with the murders up to now, that he should have gotten then. And like the judge told him, he was "arrogant and ignorant", not a good combo under any circumstance.
I don't feel sorry for OJ. I'm not exactly jumping up and down with joy over it, but it aint rising my blood pressure a notch either. Because what dumb ass OJ should have asked himself BEFORE he set out on his "becoming a white man" journey is, If I see myself as a white man, will the rest of the world see me as a white man too? Then he should have waited for truthful answer...HELL NO! |

Well Thump, what can I say. You just about wrapped it up. The board has discussed OJ and his whiteness. I think I took a beating on that one. We talked about his love of white women and when you dropped the maid story on me I lowered my head. Yeah, he's been a wee bit stupid. Okay, he's rarely around blacks unless he wants them to drive his getaway car or hold the door. Man Thump, I'm lost for words. But I've been to funerals in which everybody in town knew the deceased was a low down dirt dog that stole food out his momma's house BUT ...ain't we suppose to say something good about the passing. OJ can forget about getting out of jail. Oh yeah, he done gone to the white mans oldest plantation. I bet he won't find no white women up in there. On second thought I don't know about that. We talking about OJ, THE JUICE!
I read this story about this white women that fell in love with a black inmate and she help him escape from prison. Let's face it, OJ is the Mandigo Man. You here me! He's probably on the phone right know rappin' to his next thang.
So holdup Thump, don't be writing the man's eulogy. Besides, say what you want, the man got the shaft. See, I know why you can't get with the real deal. You believe OJ kilt them white folk. I don't think he did it. So, he had all the right to kiss on all the white women he could find. He should have had a reality show. Yeah, OJ's playhouse. He didn't kill Nicole and Ron. But he may have had it done, and if he didn't he sure knows who did, and his failure to cooperate (and his, in all probability, being a dope dealing scum who helped get her in that life)led to his downfall.
What do you think of efforts to remove him from the Football Hall of Fame? |

You can see the difference between OJ and Klaus von Bulow--after he got left off the hook he got the hell up out of America and is out of sight, out of mind.
He poisoned that woman (Sunny) and walked, sure as you're born.
OJ should have left the country the day he was acquitted.
But, like a good slave, he hung around waiting to get punished.

It never ceases to amaze me how some people can state with such certainty that OJ didn't kill Nicole and Ron. How do YOU know OJ didn't murder these 2, chrishayden? Are you privy to what goes on OJ's inner circle, or are you devouring what the supermarket Tabloids print, or do you simply believe that wishing will make it so? |

This man's foolishness apparently knows no bounds. This is not about "justice" or "injustice"--it is about the end of arrogance's rope. Whether you think he was innocent or guilty of the murders (I am in the latter camp), he beat that rap because of two things and two things only: (1) a poor prosecution effort, and (2) his wealth and celebrity. Anyone else who had escaped such serious charges would have been the very picture of virtue and anonymity, but apparently Mr. Simpson had other thoughts. |

What "I" don't understand is (you're correct, it's not about justice) why is the man foolish? Look, the man was found NOT GUILTY, regardless what "others" think. But wait, was he foolish because he had to know that many thought he did the crime, thus, he should have laid low. Is that what you are saying? It's hard to believe that your examples were the only reasons he was found not guilty. How about the fact that he didn't do it. That's what the court said. Wealth aside, opinions too, it is about injustice. What is right about his sentence? |

Carey: First off the court did NOT say that he did not do it, just that they could not prove it. There is a difference between a Not Guilty and Innocent. He was not found Innocent, he was found Not Guilty. And anyway, I like to hear what the person say that he's not guilty. But thenyour boy had the nerve NOT to testify, but then write a book called If I Did It! That is arrogant and stupid and his ass should have been laying low. The sentence may seem harsh, but there is a minimum and a maximum when it comes to jail time, its up to the judges discretion. Your boy went one too many times to the well, now his ass done fell in. Too bad, so sad for his him. |

Thank you. Initially, I was shocked but now I laugh and shake my head in amusement at Negroes who passionately profess Simpsons innocence. Their comatose logic is stunning but yet real to them.

Once again, deficient Negroes fail to comprehend that being exonerated or being innocent vice not being convicted because of lack of evidence or a compelling prosecution -ARE TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THINGS. The prosecution had tons of evidence against Simpson that was never introduced in the trail. It was not that they were lacking evidence -they haphazardly introduced a weak and botched case against the best defense lawyers in the country. The two rank DA's (Clark and Darden) could not prosecute a jay walker caught on tape! The not guilty verdict resulted from a "weak prosecution" that failed to prove its case -not Simpsons innocence.

This is so true. Simpson could not let it go. He got away and was legally a free man. But his arrogance, ego, craving for attention and stupidity would not allow him to fade quietly into the background and live an obscure life. Instead, he still wanted the limelight, the attention and notoriety. Well, he will have plenty of time to think about his fhyck ups. Oh yeah, one more thing. Years after the trail, a reporter asked Johnnie Cochran if OJ committed the murders. Cochran, knowing that he is bound by strict client-lawyer privilege, stated: “He did not know and wasn't sure”. Well, when OJ was told what Cochran said, he mulled about it and stated: “ Hmmmm. I dunno. Ya know, I’ve often times wondered if I did it too. ”. WTF..??!! This is true story. He should have been imprisoned for being stupid enough to make a comment like that. |

I just feel sorry for those kids who are once again thrust in the spotlight for reasons beyond their control.
It will be a miracle if they turn out alright. I mean can you imagine growing up with someone who may or may not have killed your mother, finding out that your mother was a drug addict, your relationship with your only living grandparents MUST be strained to say the least especially if they think that your father killed their child.
Like I said, if those children don't have serious issues, I dont know! |

Ms. Chocolate Mocha, your post brings it home. Over the years I come to believe one of the hardest thangs to express on a board is humor and sarcasm. Do I think OJ had a hand in death of his wife, absolutely. Do I think he viewed his last escape from conviction with ambivalence, yes sir, he was foolish. He thumbed his nose at the public as if invincible. Do I think he deserves the sentence of his latest crime, absolutely not, However, I understand. We all display foolish behavior, albeit not to the degree of OJ but we do. Like OJ, we are also parents, sons, friends and possibly role models. On any given day we may fall below the acceptable standards of being a father or any of those positions. I am sure somewhere below OJ's new title of convicted felon, is a father that is hurting for his children and extended family. Several individuals loved him. I joke, I prod, and I instigate discussions about OJ, yet, I too have personal opinions about his guilt and the hurt and pain caused by him.
It's easy for us to throw stones at the mere mention of his name. I wonder if there's anything we can learn from his demise and our actions following such. Sure, the cynic would say, don't kill white people or anyone for that matter, lay low, but it's deeper than that.

Hey, how was your Thanksgiving and what's Christmas looking like? I think you said you were out west. I just can't see Christmas without a little snow or at least cold temperatures. I have a friend that lives in L.A., but I'd get cussed out if I mentioned what she does on Christmas so I'll let that lay. Anyway, I've never seen a Christmas card with people holding gifts while riding a surf board or going to grandmomma's house wearing shorts. What's up with that? |

What, you go to Las Vegas for Christmas, Crystal? I didn't know that , I bet that's fun. I'd rather put a dollar in a wash-machine. But I suppose if my family was out in the boondocks of Las Vegas, I might be inclined to join them.

Hey Carey,
I am no longer in Canada. In the DC area now. Thanksgiving and Christmas are shaping up very well thanks
No snow over here, I do miss it sometimes but those minus 60-80 wind chill factor days were no joke. Any exposed part of your skin would freeze in 9 seconds if not covered up. I still remember getting frost bite on both of my ears and walking around like "Dumbo" for at least a week.
I have to chuckle at what they call "snowdays" here when schools are closed and offices are closed... Not complaining though, Ill take em! |

Chocolate Mocha Mint, I know what you mean about that exposed skin, that ain't no joke! I don't know why I thought you were in L.A. but I hear you. Pssst, don't tell nobody but I'm going to Atlanta for the hoildays. They get crazy if 2 inches of snow hits the ground; closing schools and everythang. I know it sounds crazy but Christmas ain't Christmas without snow. I'll get through it, in fact I'm planing on having a good time, am going to be around my children. I'm talking one with me **oh lawd ** and I'm going to stay with my daughter and my grandson.
My son and I are flying together but we can't sit together -- oh no. See, he might get to drinking that airplane hooch and act a damn fool. Am gonna pretend like I don't know him. He's says it calms his nerves....right. You know how some want to get the party started. Well, he's party man. See, me and him already are going to have some problems. I've called shotgun; I have dibs on the guestroom and his behind is going to the basement. Anyway, I hope your holidays are filled with joy and plenty of laughs. |
