I'm suprised no one mentioned this HBO Broadcast:
"prominent African Americans of various professions, disciplines and backgrounds, offer their own stories and insights on the struggles, triumph...
The broadcast featured our very own Zane, Toni Morrison and a variety of other folks.
I enjoyed the broadcast. It was a refreshing reprieve from the CNN garbage.
The best thing about it is that there was no interviewer posturing, tying to show how smart they were, or trying to be a celebrity themselves -- it was the just the interviewee. |

Um...I've been hyping this program all over these boards. LOL I started a thread a while back, too. You're right--it was quite refreshing. I loved how you never heard the interviewer's questions but the subjects just spoke for themselves. |

Sorry I missed that Yvettep. But that was agood catch. I was very apprehensive about the progrsam. It was a good mix of people. They are even having a contest where regular folks (non celebrities) will be interviewed. I think that is brilliant as some of our best minds are not rich and or famous. |

Troy, all: There are several promo clips from the program on YouTube--just search for the name of the documentary from the YouTube site.
