Hey Chris a methodology that results in more than half of the top 25 "Black Neighborhoods" having less that 10% Black people is does not pass muster with me. I never heard of "South Orange Village, New York City" |

Chrishayden you try really hard. I lived in Brookland for 11 years and went to high school there for 4. Is that enough? If we look at the ones that have 15% of better and 15% is pretty shabby. We have; 1: West Mount Airy - 41.2% (Higley #151) (Philadelphia, Philadelphia) I actually like this area and the surrounding neighborhoods I have not ruled it out. 2: Newstead - 26.5% (Higley #467) (South Orange Village, New York City) Been all over NY City, never heard of this place. There is a South Orange NJ 3: Montrose Park North - 26.4% (Higley #298) (South Orange Village, New York City) Ditto 4: Flossmoor Country Club - 17.2% (Higley #374) (Flossmoor, Chicago) Been to chicago never but this community. 5: Portland Place-Lindell Boulevard - 17.1% (Higley #29) (St. Louis, St. Louis) I've been to St. Loius but am not familiar with this community, besides I would would not want to live in that neck of the woods. Plus a 1 in 6 population is not exactly my cup of tea. 6: Forest Hills - 15.7% (Higley #252) (Washington DC, Washington DC) Not familiar with the neighborhood specifically, but I'm not really feeling DC proper anyway. I like northern VA and Southern MD I don't find the site very useful. Black Enterprises list was more informative and used measures that made sense. |

"Chrishayden you try really hard." Troy, don't waste your time bro. This Negro is the ultimate excuse maker, apologist and defender of hood rats and street coonery. It’s all he knows. Street walkers, gang bangers, crack houses, corner thugs, crime invested projects and neighborhoods is his cultural nirvana and source of inspiration. You're talking about black folks who worked hard, went to school, educated their children, and avoided the lure of self destructive cheap street life and crime. He ain't hearing any of that. Anyone who doesn’t aspire to be on welfare, pimp, sell drugs, have OWB’s or do forties on the corner, is subject to his scorn, ridicule and silly sloganeering (e.g. –self loathing). Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! |
