I have had the Olympics playing in the background this weekend and I have made a few observations. 1. There is excessive Beach Volleyball Coverage 2. The uniforms for the women aren't quite as equal for the men. Dont get me wrong, it seems fun enough but when I think of Olympic Games beach volleyball does not come to mind as a sport that deserves hours and hours of coverage. Also, the women are playing this sport which involves diving in dirt and contorting their bodies every which way. I am not a hater, I actually think the track and field outfits (which are pretty revealing) show off the hard work that these athletes do on a daily basis to maintain their amazing bodies, but beach volleyball is ridiculous for the women. They are forever digging the bikini bottom out of their behinds, they have sand all over the tops and the men's uniforms arent skimpy at all. Am I the only one that finds this sexist? I mean the black community is constantly scrutinized for being vulgar or overly sexed by the videos we produce, but these uniforms on the "family friendly" Olympic games are ridiculous. Then you have "Dubb-ya" who made a special trip to go hang out with the beach volleyball girls and play a mock game with them while Laura was out shopping...... How come he didn't go visit the men? What about the members of the track team, or basketball or some other nationally acclaimed sport. And again, is beach volleyball that serious that it was necessary for the President to visit??? Have I been asleep for the past 4 years only to wake up with this sport becoming something other than a summer pastime? Beach volleyball....Seriously? |

Lately, beach volley ball seemed to have carved a niche for itself on the Sunday afternoon sports coverage, probably because the sight of a bunch of scantily-clad Amazons cavorting around, spiking balls resulted in high ratings. I've never figured out why the uniforms of female players are so skimpy because having so much of their skin exposed would seemingly increase the chances of injury. I rarely give this sport anything other than a cursory glance when it's on TV and one reason is because the possibility of a wardrobe malfunction makes me nervous. Ol Dubya ain't above eyeballing near-nude female bodies. He looks like a lecher. |

Ntfs, personally I think the track suits are way sexier and much more practical. These are athletes who have to wear as little as possible to accommodate their speed. Beach Volleyball looks like a desperate cry for attention at the expense of these athletes. Until I see men running through the sand in speedos getting sand between their stuff, its a beach volleyball boycott for me. |

Okay, lets face it, nothing changes if nothing changes. A.M.E.R.I.C.A is the big dog on the block. Look at the winter Olympics farce....SNOW BOARDING! Come on, did you notice that only a few teams even participate in the event but if one didn't know it they would have thought it was a major event and therefore a major accomplishment to win. The Olympic rules committees are highly, lets say that again, hughly run, ruled and controlled by WHITE Americans. NBC also has a great investment in the games. I don't know but NFST seems to like all the white booty with sand, but not all up in my face :} it's a little much for me. Not that I don't like a little bump and grind, am just saying, come on, where's the suspense, cover that thang .....sometime. Here's another take that bothers me, the ass ain't even good to look at, to flat and toooooo pale, the shape just ain't right. I need some humps for my viewing taste, know what I mean *smile*. But Ms. Black Chocolate, you know them nasty ol'white men with money have always found ways to exploit anyone and anything. yeah Chocolate Mocha, am with you, I got tired of seeing them yank their thongs out of their ass. Bush had his nasty dumb azz all up in the mess. Beach Vollyball, come on, when did that become a sport in the first place. Now you know America will build a war from nothing so from that prespective tight booty shorts and a fake game is nothing. It's their home and if a person's bathroom is dirty so is the whole house. |

Imagine if there were a lot more BLACK female superstar volleyball players running, jumping, falling and bouncing around in skimpy bikinis (a slightly more slender Serena William types comes to mind). *sigh* Hell, now THAT right there would be an Olympic event I wouldn't mind sponsoring! |

Carey, I wrote that code incorrectly, which is why the italics didn't show. I should have placed the <i> at the beginning of what I wanted to italicize, and the </i> at the end. For bold, you use <b> and </b>. Note: In the above examples, I included spaces so that the code would show. When you go to actually use them, you would write them as <b> and </i>, for example, without the spaces. |

Huh? How about a \ and then an "i" followed by a sentence enclosed in these kind of brackets { } voila! a script that appears in italics. For bold type, do the same thing only use "b" instead of "i" excuse me for intruding on this conversation But I can't resist being a show-off BTW, FY. Where is Yvette?? Nighty-night! |

Cynique, you show off...lol... I think you can use {}, [], or <>. I'll leave the fonts and colors to the pros! I think Yvette may still have only limited (public) Internet access because of her recent move. Or, maybe she has finally forsaken us to work on that Really Big Paper that's been hanging over her head forever and ever. (Typing this will allow us to know when she's back online because once she reads it, she'll come gunning for me.) running for my life now to get a head start |
