John McCain is welcoming Barack Obama back to America with a hard right cross. The message of the Republican's new attack ad that debuted Saturday both perfects and makes more harsh a theme that his campaign has been developing for weeks: specifically, that the Illinois Democrat does not care about American troops. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/07/26/mccain-to-obama-welcome-h_n_115143.html Is McCain taking advantage of American’s lack of attention to details of the news? http://DTPollard.com http://myspace.com/dtpollard |

This ploy is so blatantly contrived that only the most rabid McCain supporter would be deceived by this accusation. |

i want obama to win but as a former soldier, i have to say that i am less than impressed with his attention or lack there of, that he has shown for the troops. this is his campaign to lose and time is not on his side. |

Supposedly Obama's position on this is that he doesn't want to exploit wounded veterans by using them to enhance his image and bolster his campaign. Posing for pictures with them is not helping their cause, fighting for veterans' rights is. |

(After all your years on this planet you know that our politics do not depend on the issues except among about 10% of the population. Obama has shown himself time and time again to be politically tone deaf. It was good while it lasted but he don't need to be President. He ain't ready. |

So YOU think Obama should've gotten the permission it takes to be allowed to visit these hospitals so he could schmooze with the wounded GIs for photo-ops, huh? It doesn't occur to you that then the McCain camp would've criticized him for politicizing the plight of these soldiers. Listening to your drivel, chrishayden, one gets the impression that the only black person you deem worthy of running for president is YOU because you think you know it all. Typical of your tunnel vision. |

(Exactly) It doesn't occur to you that then the McCain camp would've criticized him for politicizing the plight of these soldiers. (They are putting the tag, "America Hater" on him. So far they got his refusal to wear the flag pin, Michelle sayin' she ain't never been proud of America til now, Rev Wright, and him being a secret Muslim. It would be better for McCain to say he was using them and deny it rather than him add another turd to the pile. Don't ever try to advise someone running for office what to do. |

So people running for office should not have advisors, huh? They should just do as they please without any input from others, huh? No way. |
