Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! That's really funny. Bro, not to be disrespectful, but your statement was ignorant. Very ignorant. John McCain is not an immigrant turned naturalized citizen as say Arnold Schwarzenegger is. McCain was born in 1936 while his father (Admiral John Sidney McCain Jr. who was a four star admiral in the US Navy who served in World War II through the Vietnam War) was stationed at a US military base in Panama, not to mention the fact that the Canal Zone was under total American control at the time. I doubt very seriously if an American born in a territory of the United States and whose father is serving in the US military, would not be eligible for the presidency of the United States. I have no idea why you would think otherwise.
Unbelievably, Barry Goldwater, faced the same issue. He was born in the Arizona territory in 1909, three years before it became a state. But since he was born in a continental territory that later became a state, there were pin heads who actually believed he didn't met the standard. Well, needless to say, common sense won out. They were wrong. E'nuff said......... |
