During an on-air conversation Monday about the arrests of suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones:
Imus asked, "What color is he?"
Told by sports announcer Warner Wolf that Jones is "African-American,"
Imus responded: "There you go. Now we know."
You know what the National Action Network is gonna do -- not a damn thing. Even they must realizee no action is warranted here. This would be a waste of their time.

Exactly. What would be the point and why would anyone care? A black man responded to this nonsense in an e-mail to one of the news shows and said; "There is an environmental crisis facing this country. An educational crisis in this country. Gas is $4 a gallon and climbing. People are losing there homes to foreclosures and unemployment is rising, especially among the working class while the middle class is being destroyed. Fifty million Americans have no health coverage whatsoever and we are stuck in a disastrous war we can't get out of. After all of this, why would anyone concern themselves with what Don Imus says? Don't we have enough serious and meaningful issues facing us?" I agree with the brother 100%. End of subject.... |

I will say I looked at the incident from a different angle. I really think the man didn't have any malice in his heart when making that statement. I think he really was pointing tothe fact that our "news" is different than others. I know...I know, "the streets of hell....". Nevertheless people, lighten up! The man is not stupid, he is a white man and we are not going to agree with or understand everything he says. Let it go...go fix a sam-mish! |

Carey: My 'net skills are mediocre at best. I didn't start doing the image thing until earlier this year when I started blogging. It's actually not hard when you get down to it.
I've long felt that Imus resembled Rocky Dennis, and it's no dis to Rocky Dennis, just commentary that people shunned him and treated him like a freak, and yet Imus is making at least 6 figures. I guess Imus really does have a face for radio. |
