Ever since Usher and Tameka have been a couple, numerous media outlets and even fans in the black community have been visciously attacking his wife. Recently, Usher even had a rant on MTV's TRL telling the public to leave his spouse alone, stop saying she's "40 years old" and most of all "unattractive", he further went on by defending his wife by stating that she is a "beautiful black woman".
I never understood all the hate for Tameka, it seems really unnecessary. As many complaints from the black community about how successful black men marry outside their race, you'd think there would be less venom hurled towards this woman. |

Negroes can be so pathetic with their toxic carping and petty chickenshit. I don't follow nor keep up with celebrities and what they do in their personal lives, so I'm not familiar with this woman. But from the picture, she looks very attractive and both appear to be happy. The man doesn't have to defend his relationship with her or any other woman he chooses -WHO HE DATES OR SLEEPS WITH IS NO ONES DAMN BUSINESS!!! I've never understood how someone can get so worked up and bitter about what someone else does in their personal lives. Whenever I see this kind of bullshit sour grapes, I always think how sad it is not to have a life and concern yourself with the personal lives of people who don't even know you. So sad..... |

If he didn't want that skank to get ranked, he should have left her at home and refused to give out any info on his private life.
But he didn't, cuz he wants to act like he is a family man in love with his wife, which apparently a lot of fanboyz and girlz want in their "celebrities".
I wonder how much respect he shows to her when he is with all them white girlz?
It's all bushwah, and it apparently works, because you are sitting her blogging on it. They don't see each other for months at a time.

Tameka is a doll, but as far as handsome men go, he's surely not one. I would never even give Usher one look. He's never impressed me. He looks like his breath stinks.
However, while their relationship is their business, I've always found younger/older couples to be rather odd looking, regardless if the man is old and the woman is young (and vice-versa). I feel the same way about Tameka and Usher as I do, say, Ashton (sp?) and Demi, Hef and his playmates (waaaay bizarre!)....it's somehow mismatched.....too much of a generational gap, so to speak. And when it comes to great wealth, I think black, white, asian, latino/latina doesn't mean shyt....it's about the GREEN. Period.
But - to each his/her own. They look happy....for now. I won't be surprised if, and when, they split. She'll be set financially though, especially after having a child with him - and I'm sure that motivated her to some extent. But the proability of divorce is much higher than staying together - it's the norm for people in that industry, and our culture in general. |

ABM, women generally can be very hard on other women--regardless of race. I haven't heard about anyone dissing Usher's wife. But then again, I find it hard to keep up with all these celebrities. For example, I didn't know she was older than he is. Moonsigns, I can't disagree with you more--I am all for that! LOL!

Yvette, I haven't heard anything either, except from celebrity gossip bloggers, some of whom are male. After all, who's checking for Usher these days anyway, besides young'uns? I don't care one way or the other. If he likes it, I love it. ;-)
I haven't read anyone being any harder on his wife than they are on Remy Ma, Foxy Brown, Solange, and any number of other female B/C/D-list celebrities who are regular targets of bloggers and their commenters. Usher's wife stated in an interview that people hate on her because she's black/dark-skinned, etc., and perception becomes reality, I guess.
I echo whoever said they would do well to ignore the nastiness because it's not like it's going to make any difference to people who are hell-bent on talking trash. Why let them know that you even care what they think? Sticks and Stones 101: Celebrity Edition.
What I've read is that folks take issue with her because she's perceived as being controlling and having gotten between Usher and his mother. And you know that few are revered more than a black mother, lol. It's about Tameka's perceived character, but of course folks hit below the belt, and get personal, when they go on the attack. Regardless of race, as Yvette pointed out.
